The Spot Newsagency

The Spot is one of Curtin’s newsagent and convenience store. They sell the usual stuff, like printing paper, stationary, phone cards, envelopes and cold drinks. All that stuff’s overpriced so take my advice and head up to the far right corner where you’ll find their pick and mix lolly section. It’s pretty much the highlight of my Mondays. I like to grab a mixture of jelly beans, sherbies, bananas and red skins. Sickly sweet goodness which goes down a treat during study breaks and it’ll only set you back a mere $ 2 for 100g of instant joy. Mmmm.
Another sweet deal they have is their discounted movie tickets. It’s $ 9 for students and $ 10.50 for adults, but you have to be a guild member. They’re also an agent for Moshtix so you can buy all your concert tickets here too.
