Amigo’s Pizzeria

Very disappointing. I ordered delivery using an online booking site, and got an SMS with an expected delivery time, about 45mins. It was then 15mins late, so an hour to deliver 1 pizza and some ribs a few blocks away! We got a half half pizza — the spinach side rather than having fresh baby leaves, was topped with frozen packet spinach blobs — disgusting. The lamb side was almost unrecognisable as lamb and had plasticy cubes of feta. The base was soggy, as were the chips that came with the ribs we ordered. I don’t know how these pizzas could be in the «gourmet» section! The ribs were a bit tough, but the sauce was pretty tasty and some good char on the outside, this was the only positive. Our order came with a free garlic and cheese bread, which I wouldn’t pay for, it was tasteless. The menu should have given it away, being so expansive they can’t really specialise in anything. Next time I’ll pay a few bucks more and jump in the car for something on KW Rd.

I used the online delivery service and was very impressed. Good prices and great food. I will be using Amigo’s again.

I remember when this place opened up. It wasn’t a typical family run suburban pizza place, the entire staff, including the owner were under 25. All young business entrepreneurs.
They always served with a smile and were quite chatty. I’ve haven’t been back for a while and have only ordered delivery sporadically when I’m chilling near South Rd.
They are a bit spotty when it comes to time frames, took over an hour a few times. It’s a shame considering the pizza is fairly decent, tastier than most chain stores. The ribs are also really good, if you like them with a healthy amount of BBQ sauce.
