Great service here. on Sunday morning i went to another café and pastry shop on edgecliff road. Not busy but could not get served. In contrast Gusto staff say hello when you walk in, smile, are genuinely friendly and serve you promptly. Yes, they were busier than the other place where I was both invisible and inaudible.

FINALLY found my new go-to coffee spot. After trying a few places around the area, Gusto’s did not disappoint as the others had done. Friendly team and perfect coffee!

Hole in the wall that supplies the locals and office works fine coffee and food. You’ll be warmly greeted and service is fast. They have a good selection of food that can be served straight from the cabinet or made to order.

Gusto has gotten a great reputation among the bondi crowd because this place is always full of people be it for a early morning coffee or a late treat. The coffee standards are high here with the store getting lots of recognition in various publications over the years. The store is quite cute and they have a enough seats inside for a decent crowd and also some Sears along the arcade too. It’s on Spring street though so can be quite loud around here. Gusto is great for takeout though and you never have to wait very long. They got a great range of muffins, pastries, croissants and breads to go great with your coffee and also serve some light meals. Today I ordered peanut butter on Turkish bread. Really simple of course but very tasty none the less and perfect to keep you going until lunch. The coffee comes with a cute little bit of chocolate on top just to make your day.

This is a nice place to grab a coffee/tea with a friend. I had a chai tea latte with some cute gingerbread cookies on the side, and my friend had a cappuccino. Everything was good, but just a tiny bit pricier than necessary. We sat at the little bar area and chatted for a while, which was nice but could get noisy at times since it’s practically right on the street. I’d consider coming back.

A coffee is a coffee is a coffee, right? I mean, it’s all the same colour when you spill it in your lap, yeah? Haha but no. No, it’s not. I mean yeah it burns the same(unless it’s cold drip), but with today’s level of coff-snobbery you may get throat punched if you insist on vague generalising and blanket statements. Confusing good coffee with bad is practically racism. The good news, however, is if you tap Gusto for the good oil you pretty much can’t go wrong, their flat whites — the coffee of my former self, and my current self when I’m in a hurry or can’t decide — are the bomb diggs, and every other variation just gets better from there. One of the few places where I’m all about their takeaways.

Gusto is a place that I can’t really warm up to. While they’ve tried to make their shop in Bronka Arcade as café like as possible it’s this location that is disappointing. It’s like McCafe: When you first step in you think it’s nicely decorated, but the location feels(and is) wrong. Gusto displays a copy of a review of their business from TimeOut. While I usually agree with their reviews it appears that in the 6 years since the TimeOut review the quality and attraction have degraded. In addition both coffee taste and aroma are fairly nondescript leaving you with a feeling of nothingness, or Zen, for $ 3.50. Do yourself a flavour and walk across the road to the newly opened Soul Origin.

Reliably good coffee with a no-fuss system… they get you ordered, paid and out the door with your brew seamlessly! Perfect given I only ever visit this coffee bar when I’m on my way to do something(it’s not really a sit-down-and-chill kind of place… but you could if you wanted to). Staff are friendly, they have a rewards card(great if you’re a regular) and the food options are great too. I definitely recommend stopping by if you’re looking for a good coffee in Bondi Junction!

Pull up a pew at the bustling espresso bar and annoy the barista while he pumps out an endless stream of coffees to go. This is the third addition to the growing Gusto group which began just down the road at Bondi Beach. This cosy hole in the wall sister café is a welcome, trendy little addition to the Junction scene, but it’s missing one crucial Bondi ingredient — milk crates. Character oozes from café confines and the timber fuelled interior feels intimate and kinda moody, but the glass façade feels a bit like a you’re stuck in a goldfish bowl… hence my recommendation to pull up at the bar and annoy the barista. Or, Gusto to go. Gourmet sangas, raisin toast, easy pre prepped café fare is on the menu, but the granola is the way forward… the kind you know is super fattening but you don’t care because you just have to have it. Crazy crunchy, partnered with thick and creamy vanilla yoghurt, and topped with your choice of berry or rubharb compote. I always opt for berry because it adds a nice plump contrast to the rest. Marry it with a mocha. They make a mean one here.

Gusto Espresso Bar is a little gem. It’s easy to miss as it’s a wee place that blends in with its environment. But to its regulars, its an indispensable part of the Bondi Junction experience. Essentially a coffee hub, Gusto also offers some great breakfast and brunch options. The bircher muesli concoction in particular is addictive. Ask for ‘everything’ and you get the perfect kick start to your day… muesli, nuts, fresh rubharb, yoghurt and I’m sure there are some other secret ingredients in there too. The large size of this is huge but perfect for two to share and they are more than happy to do this and serve it up as two portions. Essentially though, Gusto is about getting that first coffee of the day. It is open early and a lively, open plan hub of chatting, browsing the paper and socialising while you wait for your order, which, when it arrives is inevitably served with a friendly smile and is the ideal start to the day.

Nip in here for a coffee that’ll knock your socks off and leave you alert for the rest of the day. They also offer a fabulous range of freshly baked pastries and cakes — buy both for just $ 6. Homemade bircher muesli, fruit salad and yoghurt are also available as a more healthy breakfast alternative. However, the atmosphere here is not one so much for relaxing and reading the papers, but is a more frantic grab-and-go coffee on the way to work. Their breakfast-bar layout offers a great place for quickly scoffing a muffin and slurping your coffee, but I think there are better places if you want to relax and enjoy watching the world go past.
