Tasty fresh food, great atmosphere and friendly service! Highly recommend!
I had the seafood quesadilla which was big cheesy and yum!
My partner had the mixed grill fajitas which were fresh tasty and delicious.
Great range of drinks eg Mexican beer, sangria and margaritas! You get a free hat! I will definitely be back to try these!

Hearty, quick food. Nothing gourmet but great value on the half price nights and an easy dinner. Service is quick and friendly and parking is great.

At long last I have found a great Mexican restaurant in the eastern suburbs!!!
The prices are around the same as taco bill. From Monday to wens all entrée and mains are half price.
They have some nice vegetarian dishes aswell.
My girlfriend and I shared some jalapeño poppers (very good) then she chose the nachos and I had a chicken chipotle burrito which was amazing.
For dessert we split some churros
We also had frozen margarita’s which were also good.
The staff were very quick with service and super friendly.
If you like Mexican food then you must try these guys!!!

It is nice to have a good Mexican restaurant in the suburbs. Food and service was good. Not the best Mexican place in Melbourne, but definitely not the worst. I will be back.

A new addition to the variety of restaurants in Boronia, Carlos Cantina is an indie Mexican restaurant that aims to take on the over franchised cuisine.
I popped in for dinner on a Monday, and took advantage of the Monday to Wednesday Half Price Entrees and Mains deal. This was great as when I got what I ordered, it was enough for two, and only cost about $ 10.
My meal was fantastic. After a shared entrée of the Carlos Potachos, which was basically nachos with potato wedges instead of corn chips, I ordered the Fajita Vegetales, and was given a piping hot pan of fresh vegetables cooked in a ranch sauce. Another plate held lettuce, guacamole and rice, and yet another had 4 fajita wraps, plus cheese sour cream and salsa.
I proceeded to make my own wraps, and somehow managed to devour the entire thing.
Like a Taco Bill, the prices are quite high for what you get. Although the meals are really large, I’m always surprised at how much it costs for a burrito at ANY Mexican restaurant. With the fare quite simple in its preparation and ingredients, I’m one who often make sit at home and avoids paying $ 20 for a meal that cost under $ 5 to cook.
That said, take advantage of the half price nights, and you’re sure to enjoy having someone else cook for you.
