The first time I went into this restaurant, I was very reluctant because I already had my favourite Hand made noodle restaurant, but boy was I wrong. The price was really average for Chinese noodles(around $ 10 a bowl), but I actually found that price to be quite low when the bowl of noodles came out, as the bowls were MASSIVE. I ordered a hot and sour noodle soup, as well as some dumplings and spring onion pancake to share with friends. The noodles in the soup were possibly the best I’ve ever had. Although the soup was nice but not the best(not spicy or sour enough, although it DID burn my tongue), the noodle tasted very high quality, because it was soft and chewy. Spring onion pancake was also one of the best I have ever had. The environment was also very nice with big tables, not something you’d normally get in an asian restaurant. The value is really good and along with the great tasting food(except disappointing dumplings), this restaurant is a must visit if you like hand made noodles! I certainly had a blast eating here, and I’m not joking when I said the bowls were massive; I’ve read Unilocal reviews where people say its massive but ends up being regular, however in this case it really was massive.

Only like their hand-made Lu Yang noodle, I think give the rest a miss … BIG serve, difficult to converse with staff, been there more than 4 times already

Good noodles(hand made), good dumplings, friendly service. Prices very slightly higher than the local average, but that reflects the quality of the offering. Box Hill has always been cheap and cheerful, and it’s good seeing it maturing and improving with some of the newer openings like Noodle Kingdom.
