I was taken here by my work to celebrate a retirement, and was frankly impressed. I don’t eat at fancy places regularly and this place is a bit posh. I googled it beforehand so knew that they had won awards for their steaks, so of course that was what I ordered. The menu also has fish, lamb, duck etc but as this is a steakhouse, steak is of course the feature! I ordered a Wagyu rump and was not disappointed. Cooked to perfection(I like medium well), it was succulent and quite possibly the best piece of beef I’ve ever eaten. Shoutout to the rosemary roast potatoes as well — extra crispy and two mouthfuls of heaven. My colleagues all either had steak or the salmon, and reported happiness all-round. The service was as you would expect in a restaurant of this caliber — polite, efficient and a little aloof. I was surprised to see that all tables were full for a Thursday lunchtime, but there were a lot of people obviously enjoying a corporate wet lunch. The bar was held up by suited males no doubt discussing how to run the world. Highly recommended if you’re a fan of steak — just don’t expect chips and salad on the side :)
