Deco/Interior — Cool space that felt like it was ‘underground.’ Nice soft lighting, great for groups. Kind of quiet, I mean when I went in, all I heard were people chattering in hushed voices and I couldn’t hear any music so felt like it was closed. So at the time, it didn’t feel like it had a lively atmosphere. Service — Decent enough, was served by a man who gave us the menu but didn’t even look at me, he only gave«instructions» on how to order to my friend. Now I’m not one to want all the attention, however if there is a table with multiple customers and u need to tell them something about the menu or the venue, then you should make eye contact with everyone. Just glance around, it makes a big difference. But in terms of taking our orders and getting them right, it was all good. Food — I had the Margherita pizza and had the sauce changed from tomato to BBQ then added Brie. No problems with the order, no questions asked. I loved the flavour of the pizza and the fact that it’s crisp and so wasn’t heavy to eat. BUT some parts of it were burnt black. I was picking the black parts off all night. And no, I couldn’t be botheredy sending it back. I ate most of it anyway hahaha Overall, it was an OK experience. I’d like to go again to check the consistency of the service and food.

So its December, the time of year every restaurant is packed and you’ve somehow managed to get a table at the(relatively) new restaurant on the block, and a day before your lunch half the party cancels… Problem? Not for Corbett and Claude. I walked down the stairs and literally into the hostesses arms who greeted me like a long lost friend and couldnt do enough to make sure we had a good time. Attentive staff all around, but not pushy(yay, i am too reserved to deal with pushy), do we need drinks, offered time to order but we had all scoped out our orders pretty quick and were ready to go within minutes of being seated. These guys use iPads to manage theoe tables! Awesome idea! Never again a lost meal. Food, full of flavour, crisp grilled haloumi, crunchy chips sprinkled with parmesan, an actual spicy chipolte aioli was my delicious meal. Whilst these are really an entrée no one blinked an eye when i ordered them as a main! These guys actually specialise in Pizza and who doesnt love pizza! Many types to choose from, i think I will have to try one next time! I was given a slice of pepperoni pizza to try and it was lovely, crisp thin base plenty if sauce and pepperoni with just a hint of cheese. And if your looking for somewhere to have a cheeky lunch time drink the cocktails look amazing and they have cider on tap! I plan on making this a regular ‘treat’ lunch venue.
