I purchased five plates worth of Sushi, and whilst it was nice enough, plates such as the Teriyaki Chicken tasted pretty ordinary with little sauce, when compared to franchises such as Sushi Train. Whilst the staff were efficient, I did not find the customer service to be overly friendly. I wouldn’t eat here again, I would instead look for another Sushi Train in the area or just get takeaway Sushi rolls elsewhere.

Located in a high traffic area within Brisbane city, you would think this place would want to try and be of decent quality, particularly when taking their expensive prices into account! A small, dull looking store, it could really use a makeover to feel more inviting. There is takeaway sushi available as well as a sushi train. This review is for the sushi train. While customer service was okay, the experience overall was definitely disappointing. The menu was old and dirty looking with only sushi rolls, hot foods and basic desserts available. The plates on the conveyor belt had tiny portion sizes with plates starting at $ 3.50 to $ 8. I tried a chicken and avocado and was very annoyed at the quality and size versus price. The rice was overpowering, bland and clumpy. You couldn’t taste the fillings much and the small bites cost me $ 4. I left after that. Don’t waste your time or money.

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!! A few years ago this place was on my regulars list. You’ve changed man! In fact I think it has changed owners. Ok, so… The décor is old, time for a refresh. The service is friendly but not overly efficient, there was no one running over to count up my plates and let me know what I had to do next to pay for my meal. The sushi is… blah, not so fresh, not really interesting. I am dissappointed mostly due to sentimentality… oh well. Not quite on my «never again» list… but almost.

I’ve passed this place many times while shopping in Myer center and I decided to give it a try. I assumed that since it’s a small, hole in the wall location, I thought the prices would be really cheap but they are basically average. I ordered the Tuna and Salmon Sashimi for $ 8.80. When I got my plate, everything looked good but once I picked it up with my chopstick the slices are really small! It’s half the size of a normal sashimi slice. For 8.80, this is not worth it at all. The fish was fresh however and the service was good.

I lunched there yesterday. Very disappointing. Sushi was OK but Gyoza was over cooked and limp. The manager of this establishment needs to run a tighter ship. The wait staff weren’t keen to take an order for hot food and were busy plaiting each others hair. A very unhygienic thing to be doing in a restaurant.
