Ramen is one of my ultimate comfort foods! I miss it, I crave it and ramens at Taro’s are just amazing! First thing you should know, they really go the extra mile to give you an amazing soup and YES it’s complicated and NOT just a soup. Ramen noodles are made from scratch, the pork melts in your mouth and ooooh their broth. I could drink a gallon of it for brekky!!! Looking forward to a lovely bowl of ramen in my not so distant future, in the meantime give them a go, I doubt you’ll regret it!

I’ve been to many ramen shops in Sydney and this place is one of the best ramen that I’ve had so far. From the consistency and flavour of the broth, to the homemade noodles and the melt in your mouth pork, everything was spot on. That being said, the portion size is a little small for the price but you are paying for a top notch ramen experience. I could not recommend it highly enough.

Best ramen I’ve had in Brissy. Not cheap and portion is not very generous, so grab a side while waiting(over 20 minutes for a bowl of soup). Worth it though! I’ll be back for sure :)

After just having spent 3 weeks in Japan eating ramen nearly every day, my boyfriend and I had a serious craving for it. We were hesitant to go here as we thought what ramen joint in Brisbane could compare to everything we just ate in Japan? I’m so glad we tried out Taro’s Ramen. We had the regular and fire tonkotsu and both were amazing. The ramen is pricey, especially since we both ordered an extra half egg and chairsu(much needed since each bowl only comes with ½ egg and 1 slice of meat.). However, like others have said you do get what you pay for: their noodles are homemade(which is rare!), the meat was tender, the egg was marinated and cooked just right(soft boiled with runny yolk), the broth was full of flavor and not too salty or thick. I will definitely be back to slurp down a bowl of goodness!

Hakataya Ramen is still my go-to ramen place(Blasphemy!!!). Well, what I have learned is that different Ramen flavour variations come from different regions in Japan. I just happen to really enjoy the Hakata region variation, hence the Blasphemy above(sorry to any Japanese if I messed this up). Honestly, the ramen here is good. They are now conveniently located close to Queen St Mall. So no more excuses for the rest of you folks who haven’t tried it.

I believe they now have a more limited menu in this temporary location, but the quality is just as high. Prices are high(for soup), but you get what you pay for.
