I LOVE this place So close to my work, always hot strong fresh coffee and the owner Shelly is so friendly, and has amazing customer service. And the food is good I’ve had the Bircher musli, and bagels before they are both great!!! I will definitely remain a regular!

I used to be a really big fan of is place but on recent visits have been a bit let down, not sure why it is not bad at all in fact much better than most but here was something about the place with the previous owner I suppose. It goes to show that good coffee is not just about the coffee or the place but also the people. Still worthwhile.

Who doesn’t love a good, hole in the wall coffee shop? Tucked on the corner of Edward and Adelaide Streets(next to the 7⁄11) is Neat Espresso. And it’s just that– a neat little café serving fresh Segafredo to the people on Brisbane. Will, the owner and barista, is a flirtatious joker who loves a bit of banter in the morning whilst making your piccolo. And if his chat doesn’t wake you up, then the kick in his coffee surely will. I’ve never had a bad coffee from Neat, although Segafredo is definitely not my favourite blend. To be honest though, if the company is good and you have a friendly rapport with your barista than everything else can be forgiven. There’s not a huge amount of seating space in Neat, so I’d always opt for a takeaway coffee. There’s also some delicious pastries, muffins and sandwiches in the glass cabinet and Neat do corporate catering as well. For a tiny place, Neat sure does pack a punch. Head in next time you’re in the CBD.
