I came in for lunch after a recommendation and it was nice. I am glad it was recommended because I have passed this place up before more than once. I assumed they would serve Asian food because of their name, but that’s not the case… it’s more Mediterranean or Australian. I ordered the chicken rocket salad and it was quite good. The chicken was nicely marinated with subtle smokiness. The roasted red peppers added another dimension to add more flavor. This place can be expensive depending on what you order but it has a nice indoor/outdoor seating plus the atmosphere is nice. You won’t get huge portions, but you won’t walk away hungry either. The service is attentive and my water was filled multiple times. It’s open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The restaurant serves wonderful food and we had a great dinning experience in this gorgeous place. The restaurant is always full and best to have reservations before you go. We ordered fish dishes and t bone steak. Both are well served and cooked. Must come again.

From the street, place looked like a nice place date/chill restaurant. Service was good overall and they do the best they can to keep the open patio warm even on a cold windy night. The food was over priced and par at best. The Snow Crab Lasagne tasted like it was pre-made earlier in the day and kept in a warmer due to the oven crusted dried corner. Upon serving, it appeared they drenched it in a warmed sauce that tasted like it came straight from a can and added shaved Parmesan. The Berramundi special also did not taste fresh; the fish was soft like it was sitting in a warm pot all day. Would not recommend this place for food! Almost gave 3 stars due to the great service but the overpriced lack luster food overshadowed the nice people.

My first day in GC and was told by the local people to try Koi. Good food, good service and their Espresso Martini was very good to start off. I ordered their seafood linguini. Seafood was very fresh and the portion was perfect.

What I had: lamb salad and a little of my Family’s orders specifically mussels. Lamb salad was pretty good. Had plenty of lamb and the salad was tasty The verdict: worth recommending. I spent A$ 180 for 3 adults and 2 kids.

Post conference… Where do we eat? Local pointed us to koi and they fit all 11 of us in at no notice. Luckily it was a Monday. The drinks came fast and then the wait started, was quite a while before our food arrived, some of our group were getting restless. Once the food did arrive it was really good, I went simple for the steak and sweet potato fries and was really happy with both. I think the pricing was a little above what I would have wanted to pay but I guess being more of a tourist area I’m happy to folk out a little extra because it was really great food

One of my favourite restaurants on the Gold Coast! Anytime I have something to celebrate I head straight for Koi. The food is second to none, the service is excellent and the surroundings are extremely fun– especially if you’re into people watching. I highly recommend the Pork Belly or their fried Chicken dish for Entre, Veal Scallopini for a main OR the Salmon and for dessert? Honestly… anything. This place is definitely a highlight for any food lover searching for something delicious in the cultural/food wasteland that is the Gold Coast.

I was up in the Gold Coast for the half marathon this past weekend and after picking up my packet the group suddenly realised that we were all HANGRY. We ended up stumbling here as it was the closest option to the convention center that looked half decent– and luckily Koi delivers. Koi does great fresh juices(highly recommend the Thirst Quencher with fresh watermelon, apple orange and lemon) as well as your standard breakfast fare, with some additional flair. Most of our group opted for the breakfast bruschetta, which combines a plethora of breakfast favorites– poached eggs, bacon, avo, tomato and thick sourdough bread– into one amazing dish. To be fair, it’s hard to royally screw up breakfast so most places are able to get a pass, but I appreciated the effort it seemed like Koi went to to present the dishes, and the attention they paid to getting the ratio of avo to bacon to eggy goodness spot on.

I’ve only ever had dinner or drinks at Koi. The food, atmosphere and service have always been great and it’s an a great spot along the main street through Broadbeach. The pricing on the menu can add up quickly but you get what you pay for. Would def recommend it.

Couldn’t complain about the service on a busy Sunday morning with friendly international staff quick to assist us. Chose Koi from a street full of similar cafes and restaurants because it had an impressive menu with some delicious sounding smoothies and healthy brekky options. We were’nt overly impressed with our morning fare though, the warm oats with fruit and chia were tasty but nothing special and the baked eggs were very oily. Serving sizes were enormous though! It was fairly inexpensive too at $ 35 for breakfast and drinks for two.

breakfast was alright, i tried the corn fritters. they were ok, nothing special. the fresh juice was nice. the service was extremely slow. the guys next to us(table of six!) were seated and served before we got our food(table of two!!), which is one of my pet peeves. bah! there are plenty of places in the nearby vicinity that i would rather go back to.
