Launching in April 2012 The B. east brings a simple yet off kilter attitude to the Lygon Street precinct; tasty classic burgers, tap beers and cider served with a mélange of live music and art in a cool yet relaxed atmosphere.
The ethic of our food is built on a traveller’s decadent and extensive research of America’s Deep South food and booze culture; we use locally baked bread and in-house specialty ground beef stacked into flavour-bursting burgers, served with bundles of triple cooked hand cut chips.
Our walls are adorned by an evolving collaborative paste-up by local and interstate artists, inspired by mythical creatures and hybrid beasts, it’s an artwork whose creatures mimic our attitude in their shifting mutations and metamorphoses.
