This place certainly has interesting décor. With the mismatched furniture, old sports posters and corrugated iron, it feels kinda like being in a country shed. I ordered a spicy chicken burger(I think it was called the Hot Mama). It was pretty good, although the spice kinda overwhelmed the other flavours.

Burgers are kind of ok. Affordable at the very least, and they have good specials. I tried to get delivery once through them and it took almost 4 hours for them to tell me their guy got in an accident and would be refunding me so don’t bother with that route. There are better options in the area but they’re not overly offensive.

Nope. Not a place I will go to again. Burgers were bland. The special sauces that we got with our chips were pretty disappointing. You know when you prefer the plain old tomato sauce it can’t be good. One think I will say was the servers were nice but I think you need to have napkins on the tables especially with burgers.

The mustard makes it… Yep that’s right condiments galore were on offer with the burgers at Brunswick burger buzz. A strange, sort of random menu was on offer. It screamed not quite dirty diner/not quite gourmet burgers geez this place was a confusing mess of hipster madness. To be honest, free beer with your burger did go a long way to wetting our appetite. Our experience overall was positive. Kahuna burgers with onion rings definitely satisfied our hunger. Dinner for 2 for under $ 30 is always welcome. Not the worst option around especially on a quiet Monday night.

My burger was incredibly bland. I did not receive what I ordered(lettuce wrapped). I nearly called to complain, because I ordered cheese on my burger. Then, I realised there was only a whisper of cheese. I suppose it was within the realm of what could be legally called«cheese», much like how they sell«frozen dairy products» instead of «ice cream» in the States. The meat of my burger was dry like straw. I ordered it rare. The chips were overcooked and inedible, despite the promise of «the best chips in Australia». Overall, I am incredibly disappointed. I could not finish my meal. I will not order from here again. The service was cheerful, but I am not about to eat that food again.

Unexceptional burgers and confused ambience made for a passable experience, but gave no reason to return. The menu offered one vegetarian burger, a bland chickpea pattie that fell apart instantly. For an alternative burger joint in Brunswick it’s an oversight, and shows a lack of passion and imagination. I can’t see BBB generating any buzz in the near future.

I stumbled upon the BBB recently during an especially humid Melbourne Sunday arvo. A sandwich board informed us of drink specials. Done and done. The inside is nice and simple and there is a Humungous beer garden out back. Though the burgers aren’t the best, they are reasonably priced. The staff are all very friendly and one of them even gave me a free beer while he was changing the tap. That’s all it takes to win me over.

After walking past the not-yet open BBB and eagerly anticipating it’s opening(burgers and beer… what’s not to love?) I was more than happy to recommend it as a spot to drop in for dinner after a mini pub crawl down Sydney Rd. Inside BBB doesn’t quite look like it knows what it wants to be yet. There are some cool old signs around the walls, including a couple of old weathered tram stop signs that I’d love to have for myself, but alongside the signs are gig posters and the like which just looked a little out of place. There was a lot of empty space around which made it look a little unfinished too, but it was comfortable, with big tables and plenty of room to sit. The beer garden had just opened for the first time when we ate here too, but I have yet to check that out. But the main reason that anyone would come here(once again, burgers and beer) unfortunately also left a little to be desired for. The beer selection was only a little better than you would find in a lot of pubs. The standard mass-produced brews were on offer along with a couple of the larger craft beers available. After seeing photos of the burgers here and reading about a massive giant of a burger that has ¾ of a cow and half of a pig in it I was disappointed with what arrived in front of me after ordering. The bun that encased my cheeseburger was far too big(or was it the burger that was far too small?) and I had almost eaten half of the bun before I even tasted the pattie! Once I got to it, the meat was juicy and quite nice, but nothing out of the ordinary. Alongside the burger we ordered fries and onion rings(yes that’s right, the burgers do not come with fries). The fries were big and delicious and nicely seasoned while the onion rings were far from the worst I had but not the greasy giants that I hoped would arrive to soak up the beers. With a few little changes BBB could be great, but for now, there’s not much making me want to come back here.
