Two out of the three times I’ve visited this place, the food has most definitely been at a dangerous temperature. The spring rolls were at room temp and so was the sushi(seafood or not). Sushi Stations around Brisbane are usually a sure bet, but this one, not so much.

Being a uni student I get to be the one that appreciates places because of it’s prices. Sushi Station in Bulimba is one of the cheapest sushi places in town. $ 2.50 plates of sushi you could literally live off of. Bulimba is one of those tighter knit little community areas, so sitting just off the sidewalk with some friends eating sushi you are no doubt going to run into more people walking past where suddenly you find yourself doubling your lunch party. This is one of it’s best qualities. The laid back and easiness of the place lends itself perfectly to that of Oxford St and is a place locals will go just to catch up over some cheap and well-made sushi. Don’t be afraid to order off the menu, the chefs are all very friendly and won’t take too long at all. Plus you get free green tea on arrival!

My first ever sushi train was the Sushi Station in Bulimba and I still enjoy going there. Arguably situated in the best location on Oxford Street, the sushi is consistently good and the sushi chefs are fast and friendly, happy to make to order for you; the takoyaki — octopus dumpling balls — are my favourite thing to order, as they have to be hot. The green tea flows freely and the best part is if you sit there long enough you’ll see everyone on the street pass by, or, if you’re in a hurry to grab a quick bite before the movies, you only have to walk about 25 steps to the theatre next door!
