Would’ve given it zero stars if it were possible. Went to this beauty salon about a year ago to have my eyebrows waxed. Now I am usually not the type of person who stews over things, however my experience was so appalling I really feel I need to warn others about this place. Went in for std eyebrow wax. Get in, lay down etc. When the ‘beautician’ or whatever she was started putting the wax on my eyebrows it felt a lot hotter than usual(I’ve been getting my eyebrows done regularly for 17+ yrs). The wax was quite painful sitting on my eyebrows and really hurt when she pulled it off. Anyway next morning I look in the mirror and there is a small blister just below my right eyebrow, AND a long scab where my skin has actually been pulled off with the wax!!! I promptly went to the Dr who confirmed it was a burn from the wax. I went straight back to Cinnamon and demanded to speak to the owner, who wasn’t there. The girls there gave me some moisturiser samples to put on the scab, but that was useless as I couldn’t put it on a burn. ?? It gets no better… So the owner(Nicky I think her name was) rings me after a week and has the cheek to ask ME if I take any medications, as apparently some medications make your skin softer!!! I was shocked! Despite the fact I had been having my eyebrows waxed every month since I was 15 years old, and this had NEVER happened to me anywhere else before, she kept implying that it was my skin that was the problem, not their scalding hot wax! I do not take any medications by the way, apart from the odd Panadol here and there. Anyway after a long, repetitive conversation, I realised that you can’t reason with stupid so I just said goodbye and that was that. I still have a scar above my right eye to this day. Luckily it can be hidden with a bit of make up. Ever since then I have had my eyebrows threaded instead of waxed to avoid other negligent hot wax workers!
