I love Kelly’s! The place is wonderful and has such a nice feeling to it. Particularly outside. The breakfast is nice and worth it. The drinks are a little pricey but worth it for your morning buzz

I’ve taken my children to Kelly’s Café for lunch twice now and it got both thumbs up from the children both times — in fact today my eldest daughter repeated numerous times that we should come here more often. From the outside it appears to be a small café but it is HUGE, with most of the seating outside, which is where we prefer to sit, as the ambience with the gardens is gorgeous. There are always a lot of reserved tables, but we’ve never had a problem just turning up and finding a table. You do need to line up to order at the counter, which can take quite a while, and you need to collect your own cutlery. While you can purchase bottled water, there is a cold water dispenser and cups to self-serve as much chilled water as you like. Our drinks(a hot chocolate, iced chocolate and iced coffee) came out reasonably promptly, and our meals followed shortly afterwards. There are a lot of waitresses to help serve the food and drinks quickly. The first time I chose the Caesar salad, and today I went for the Bruschetta. Both were flavoursome and adequately filling. The kids meals are very generous sizes. My eldest daughter chose grilled fish and salad and thoroughly enjoyed it; my youngest has had the pasta napoli both times and has not been able to eat all of it. We had ordered a side bowl of chips, which are battered(the menu indicates that the chips are not gluten free) and very tasty. Our 3 meals + side chips + 3 drinks came to around $ 46, which is on a par with what I would spend at the Coffee Club. We love the relaxed atmosphere and enjoy browsing through the garden centre when we have finished.

I’ve never had a bad meal here. Yes, it can be a little over priced for what is essentially a café but the food is good and the serving sizes are enormous. They do a roast night on a Wednesday which is incredibly popular and great value. It’s BYO too so you can save on inflated restaurant wine prices. Highly recommended.

I wasn’t too impressed with the coffee, not very tasty. The chocolate eclairs on the other hand are Devine!

Yes it is a café that is part of a nursery but it is also known for its food and people come down just to eat. I haven’t been here for a couple of years but was pleasantly surprised when we came for brunch today. The breakfast portions and Kelly’s are quite generous and the food is good. I had the grilled with a hash brown, eggs are cooked to your liking and there was a few slices of bacon and 2 grilled tomatoes. Others at the table had ~ the omelette which was the size of the plate folded over with 2 pieces of toast! ~ the vego which had avocado, mushroom, tomatoes, hash browns, eggs and toast. ~ the salmon bruschetta with big capers and avocado It is popular with locals and there were a lot of tables reserved as it gets busy, we reserved our too to make sure we didn’t miss out. Everyone’s hunger was satisfied with our meals and the coffees looked great and tasted good too. We went for a wander through the nursery after too which was lovely.

Visited today for lunch wanted something Iight. As it was around 11 the place was relatively quiet yet there were a lot of tables reserved and I could hear them taking reservations so this place seems popular with the locals. A lot of choices for food however the most consistent were the high prices ! I ordered a garlic bread bruschetta topped with bacon, avocado cream, tomatoes and pesto. This was delicious however only got one piece of this bruschetta sitting lonely on a bare white plate, it was as if a salad could of been added to fill the large space. Now this wouldn’t of been a problem if it was a reasonable price but for 20 dollars you would certainly expect more . I left feeling satisfied with the taste but ripped off all the same. Very expensive not just my meal but from what I saw on the menu and for relatively simple dishes from toast to fish and chips. If the meals were larger etc then would be worth it but at this stage don’t feel I would come back again.
