Warm venue, bit clumsy layout but I enjoyed it. Service was stellar on the night I went, food all came out quickly on our 20+ person table. Prices are reasonable. Plates are large. Food quite tasty.

As my local pub, I’ve been to the Last Drop numerous times over the years for lunch, dinner, or just a drink with friends. It’s a great venue for a relaxing drink, with a decent amount of seating, but their kitchen hours are very limited and I’ve been caught on several times going to order food only to find that the kitchen hasn’t opened yet or that it has already closed. There have been several occasions I’ve had to go elsewhere to eat afterwards. The bar service is good, but if you are seated in the dining area I’ve found that although they are quick to take your initial order and serve it, they don’t tend to come back to see if you’d like anything else(and I would have tried a cake and maybe coffee last time I went for dinner if they’d asked, but they didn’t). The food itself is delicious and well presented.

I’d been meaning to try Last Drop since driving past and spotting a quaint little building in Canning Vale. Finally got the chance to check them out over the weekend for some pub grub and left with a happy tummy! There were lots of families gathered for Sunday dinner so it gave off a fantastic homey vibe. I had seen a photo of the Lamb Shank and was excited to try it but was told they’ve taken it off the menu. I was momentarily heartbroken but the waitress said it was replaced with the Lamb Rump. Of course, that’s what I had to have and it didn’t disappoint. Tender pieces of lamb goodness atop cheese-baked potato gratin, broccolini, green pea purée and drizzled with mint/red wine jus. Dear lawd, have mercy! I wish I could be as enthusiastic about their Chicken, Chorizo & Mushroom Risotto. The texture was just not quite right for a risotto and simply not enough of the mushroom flavor. So a little on the bland side. Service was great and the lady at the cashier had me in fits of giggles after she accidentally asked me if I wanted to select«chocolate, savings or credit»…LOL! Will be going back soon to try their Schnitzel!

I’m actually a bit sad to be giving this place a 2, but it’s really all they deserved :( Came here on Saturday night with Thomas K for dinner. We had an 8pm reservation and were told ahead of time that the kitchen closed at 8:30pm. We were fine with this as we kind of wanted to get in and out in about an hour. We were seated next to the fire as requested which I also appreciated. But this was kind of where the niceties ended. We couldn’t work out if it was table service or not as they told us our table and pointed at it(which is ok). Then we weren’t offered water, but we had glasses. Due to the quick time constraint on the kitchen we were told about, after 10minutes of nobody checking on us we went up to the counter I order good and drinks. To which we were then asked if we wanted someone to come over and take our order(face palm). Any how we ordered and our beers came quickly. We then waited 45minutes for our food. A reef and beef(I can make one in 15minutes, I’m not a chef) and a pork rack(premade — 10mins max) so assuming they had one shitty chef. Basically from our 55minute sit and wait and not be checked on, we observed there were 3 functions. And guess who didn’t hire enough staff to cater for that? OMGYESITWASLASTDROP!!! So yeah finally our food came, we inhaled it and left. The servings we fine, $ 35 for a meal and it filled you up. I wouldn’t say they were huge. But they were tasty apart from the layer of charcoal on the well done steak. But we have already established their chefs don’t really know what they are doing so ehh. Anyways I would come back for lunch and to update this review. The venue is so cute it’s like a little cottage and had the brewery in plain view. It’s like the only interesting thing south of the river that’s not in freo.

Great spot for a drink — relaxed and comfy atmosphere. Not too trendy– a pub really with it’s own brew. Furnishings a tad outdated. Meals in main dining area are tasty.

Went there last Saturday with family. The food was very good. Large sizes, reasonably priced. I had the garlic and chilli prawns. Could have done with a little more rice, but the flavour was divine. Family loved their steaks as well. On the downside, the service was average. A jug and a glass were smashed on the tiles next to our tables. Had to keep flagging down waitress if you could get her attention! The restaurant has very low ceilings and the place is very noisy. All of us had trouble hearing.
