This place used to be on Flinders Lane but now has moved to a much bigger, glamorous location with a décor to match. A 2 level restaurant on the corner of Swanston and Grattan streets. Personally I don’t know anywhere else in Melbourne that serves Yunnan food. It’s not dissimilar from Dainty Sichuan but more ethnic variety. The over-the-bridge noodle is a must try. Equally impressive dishes include quail eggs in mushy peas and chilli. Love it. Don’t freak out if you’re the only«kwai lo» in the house — it’s mostly Chinese customers. But that’s only a sign of authenticity no?

This place is painted to match the name of the restaurant and is hard to miss with its neon pink sign. The«cross bridge rice noodle» is the signature dish and is served with the soup, noodles and meat in separate plates with a story to boot. My personal favorite is the sweet and sour spareribs.
