Big space, clean and there are quite a few flavours of the yoghurt. What I am not impressed is the selection of toppings.

Much better than Skinny Dippa down the road, and you feel better about yourself than if you’d gone to Baskin Robbins next door.

I have to say my review is clouded by the fact that I am not a huge bandwagon member of the frozen yoghurt train. As far as these places go this is a great one with lots of yummy side bits and bobs. However I am more of a cake and ice cream girl I think

Melbourne might be in the midst of a icy Arctic vortex but that has not stopped lovers of Yo-Chi from getting their frozen yogurt fix. Yo-Chi Carlton is my favourite of the stores because of the huge venue size — it’s full of light, colour and of course delicious healthy treats. This is a self-serve deal, just choose your cup, sample a few natural flavours(coffee, salted butterscotch, vanilla, chai and coconut are my go to choices) then add whatever toppings you think will work best. The yoghurt all tastes fresh and natural(because it is). I love that no matter which flavour you choose from you know that there’s not going to be any nasty chemical or artificial flavouring. The selection of toppings are really good too. If you want to try and be healthy there is plenty of things to choose from including fresh berries, fruits and so on. If you are like me though and have a dangerous sweet tooth then sink your teeth into chocolate peanut butter cups, honeycomb, caramel syrups, sprinkles or countless other extras. I was pleasantly surprised to find that winter is well catered for with three different warm toppings to add to your frozen dream. Homemade warm butterscotch pudding was excellent, fantastic pastry and molten insides of the pie worked perfectly with chai yoghurt. I also loved the white chocolate and apple crumble — I would recommend having this one with the salted caramel butterscotch yoghurt! In summer there is a seperate smoothie stand which looks pretty exciting. I recommend sitting outside on the communal seating if it’s a warm day otherwise the prized window seats looking out on the street make for amazing people watching. This is a shrine to frozen yoghurt — keep doing what you are doing Yo-Chi!

Oh my goodness, what a great place, warm, inviting, clean, friendly service, and best of all healthy yogurt that is to die for. The variety of the flavours, crispness, unique concept and a fair pay by the weight. But be warned addictive so you may just keep going back for more. Topping choices are great as is the mix of healthy and not so healthy sin toppings. All in all a great place to visit in Hawthorn. I hope they open more

I love the Yo-Chi spaces as places you actually want to sit to eat and have a chat, the perfect option for a dessert date with your BFF if you’re after something a bit different to going to a bar(or perhaps doing Dry July!). Of all the Yo-Chi stores, the Carlton one is the biggest and there’s a few more flavours and toppings to try here too. The flavours do rotate regularly because they use natural and seasonal ingredients, but I’m always a bit fan of their non-dairy tummy friendly coconut milk options. The latest one was a dark chocolate with coconut milk base and it’s soo rich and delicious! The staff are always so upbeat and friendly, they will let you have testers if you can’t decide. It’s no fun unless you go a little OTT at the toppings bar. I’m addicted to their chocolate soil and crumbles with fruit for summer and the hot sticky date or chocolate pudding for winter. But if you get it to go(they have lids for take away), skip the cake option to avoid it melting in to a puddle by the time you get it home. Lesson learned! They do have smoothies too — I have had a taste tester of the peanut butter one and man was it filling. I would not attempt this + a tub of froyo in one sitting!

Consistently good non-dairy options, great selection of toppings(both healthy and indulgent), plenty of room to chill out, long hours so it’s a great meeting place alternative to a bar. Always clean, nice staff and toilets!

This is one of my favorite late-night hang out spots in Melbourne. It closes at 11pm which is perfect to catch up with friends over a healthier alternative(froyo over alcohol). I love its simplicity and spacious design. Their frozen yogurts are delicious and they seasonally change a flavor or two — they’ve just added a new mango flavored froyo! Did I mention that you could test try all their flavors? But don’t just exploit and run!(Insert judgy look) I also love their smoothies. Tried the mango and acai flavored smoothie: both are amazing!

I say, there are something in life you can never have enough of like exercise, a healthy lifestyle and to make needs for those two, you can never have enough of the amazing yogurt Yo Chi has been stealing my heart for for the past year or so. Now they’ve a new store on the other side of town and I have to say this one trumps the old master and the reason –amazing decoration –large in space which means a lot more seating to accommodate any amount of people — two rows of self serve –smoothies. And all the same goodness as ever.

Yochi’s Carlton store opened up not a moment too soon for Melbourne’s summer. Just off lygon street, yochi is perfect when you feel peckish in the heat and gelati just won’t do the trick. The store is huge with double the topping bar and extra flavours, half the queue. The smoochi bar is due to open in February. There’s 15 minutes parking out front and lots of longer ones just around the corner. Must try the chai, and butterscotch or be more adventurous and go for licorice, banana soy cappuccino?! Aahh yochi, you complete my summer.

If you’ve ever visited the Yo-Chi store in Balaclava you’ll kind of know what to expect: — Fine scandi furniture — Helpful staff — A super fresh toppings bar that is kept immaculately clean — Lines that increase as the mercury rises higher — Creamy fro-yo in interesting flavours(chai anyone?) — Expensive prices that will feel like extortion the first time, but you’ll willingly pay the next time. Visit the new Carlton store and add in: — More indoor and outdoor seating — More flavours(licorice!) — More ways to make the lines faster(hello SECOND toppings bar and cashier) — More enjoyment These guys are dominating the fro-yo experience in Melbourne if you ask me. There’s a constant stream of customers visiting on a more frequent basis because they’ve taken a great model and made it even easier to access. I’ll be needing to exercise all my restraint to not be here every day.

Brave move Yo Chi. Brave move opening a frozen yoghurt store in the heart of gelati land. But thanks for doing so. Thanks for bringing a stylishly minimalist interior, all the favourite flavours from Balaclava plus some new ones(licorice!) and the endless array of toppings to tempt. Your new space is bigger here as well, which is handy as I anticipate it’s going to go off shortly. I can’t go past the salted butterscotch and chai flavours myself — it’s my smack. And everything tastes better when it’s covered in mini M&Ms, white chocolate and crumble mix, so thanks for being an enabler here as well. If you’re looking for a refreshing dessert in Carlton — and not in the mood to jostle with the tourists of Brunettis — turn left at Faraday Street and get swirling with the best frozen yoghurt in Melbourne.

What a great store! Layout is massive! Soo much in here! All the flavours! Staff were really friendly, have me lots of testers to try! I had the classic vanilla being my favourites and all of the condiments! I’m a big fan of frozen yoghurt, although it can sometimes be a little pricey, however play it smart and you won’t spend that much !! It cost me under $ 5 tonight and it was more than I needed(ok eating all the testers helped)!! Will be back here again and it’s nice place, staff are friendly and new flavours always come into play! So glad to finally have a yo chi open closer to city as traveling out st kila way for one was a bit far for me!
