Something’s amiss here. Service is lackluster, menu is confusing & the coffee is terribly average & dirty tasting… Three things that are so easy to get right, right? For some reason they’ve tried to be cute & name the menu items after animals but it doesn’t really make sense to me… Although the food was ok the once or twice I’ve been here, it’s not really enough to draw me back. Shame they can’t get this place right as its a great spot and I love places where coffee can be ordered through a window. Hopefully they’ll make improvements in the future. X

Definitely the best coffee in the greater Carnegie area. Always cheerful and up for a chat. The boss alway remembers you and makes you feel welcome, nothing is to much trouble

Cute menu names(pig, sheep, cow, etc), tasty brunch offerings and excellent coffee make this a must-visit place in the ‘burbs. Although a tiny fit out — you’re not going to fit in more than about 20 people — it pays to get in early and grab a seat at one of the tiny tables. The staff are super friendly, know the menu inside out and find it just as amusing as customers that their bathrooms are ‘down the alley, around the back and through the hairdressers’. I rocked up at 7am on the dot and there was already a line for coffee at their takeaway window so obviously popular with commuters heading to the bright lights of the city. I have made a promise to myself to try something other than the chorizo dish next time I’m there — but it’s just tooooo good!

Excellent coffee! I reckon it IS the best coffee in Carnegie. Table service is efficient and comes with a smile. There’s both indoor and outside seating. It has a lovely atmosphere. Not the place to go with a big group thought as its a small venue. We didn’t order food this time but I will next time.

Love this place as soon as you come in the door the atmosphere is great & the staff always meet you with a smile. I usually get a latte but in saying that all the coffee is good here, the food is always fresh I love the bread they use it’s always so fresh.

Love this little, quaint café. Sah much. Positioned just off the hustle and bustle that is Koornang Rd, Spilt Milk offers some of the best coffee in Carnegie. They serve Padre and Five Senses. Yep. Get excited. There is also the hard-to-find cold drip bottle from First Press in the front window. Sidamo or Brazil, take your pick. Or if you’re me, have both! One of my favourite aspects of this little place is the fact that all the little snacks have animal names. I spent a good ten minutes with the owner trying to guess why the food had that particular animal name. I ended up buying the possum, at least I think it was a possum. I don’t know, wait… no… it was a squirrel. Yeah, because it had nuts. Woo. Anywho, come here. Do it.

Very nice coffee in Carnegie. A little difficult to get to for parking, however duck around the corner and there is plenty of parking in the lot next to the supermarket. All the dishes are named after animals which is very cute. I personally really enjoy the Toucan with extra poached eggs. Really tasty Rye bread with avocado, tomato and buffalo mozzarella with a great balsamic reduction over the top. The coffee is great, very smooth and well made and Spilt Milk also offers a good selection of teas. I enjoy walking down and having a relaxed brunch here. The staff are friendly and as an added bonus they give out dog biscuits when you bring your animal friend.

So far, the best coffee I’ve had in Carnegie and the service was delightful. I;ve had breakfast here and it was ok but not ace but that’s fine. A lot of people love the food and I am happy for this to be my daily coffee joint.

A little slice of Brunswick in central Canegie. The coffee was amazing and I can’t wait to get back there to try their breakfast. It has a cute and quirky décor.
