Friendly service and good food. It took a while until my order arrived but I didn’t mind, It was such a beautifull day and I wasn’t in a hurry.

The food is excellent, service is tops, and always so friendly. They always make a good coffee and if you have kids the kids breakfast menu is good for the little ones. Listening to the live music on a Friday night is a good way to wind down with a lovely dinner and a glass of wine

I hosted a baby shower at The Parlor Milkbar & Kitchen just last week and I am happy to say that the staff were so very friendly and accommodating. We were even able to split the bill, ideal for large groups.(Not an option on the weekends though). We had a large group of 18 so I requested the back room. We had it all to ourselves so it was like we had booked a private function room. They even placed yellow flowers on our table because«it’s a neutral colour & we didn’t know what sex the mum to be is having» — how thoughtful!!! There is a wide range of foods to choose from and breakfast is served till about 4pm! I didn’t hear a single complaint from our group about their food, and even our fussy coffee drinkers were very pleased with their brews! Quirky decorations throughout(lots of which you can purchase & take home), little vases of flowers on the tables, and even blankets for you to snuggle in if you’re feeling a tad cold while you are sitting outside. The Parlor is tucked away in a mostly residential area, located behind the Royal Melbourne Golf Club. It has a very fun & fresh feeling to it, well worth a visit. Loved the atmosphere of The Parlor & I will return with the Hubby to try out the dinner menu.

What a find! A little gem that has impressed me. I noticed The Parlor whilst running to the gym one Saturday morning. It was a hive of activity and my inquisitive nature got the better of me. After the dash home and a quick shower I ventured off to explore what was going on here ATMOSPHERE It must be something they put in the water at Parlor, but everyone was happy and cheery, the customers, the staff, everyone ! The décor is a cross between a Hamptons holiday house and a café opened in some ones house. I loved it. Clean, bright and airy atmosphere with a huge communal table to the front, the private tables to the side gave an air of a line table clothed tables at a Toorak restaurant whilst outside was relaxed and sunny on the deck FOOD&DRINKS I can only admit to having coffee and poached eggs on this occasion and coffee with a quinoa slice on my follow up visit. I’ll report back on food in detail when I manage to work through the menu a little(got to be fair). The coffee was excellent and nearly as good as the coffee I found at Watkins Bay in Beaumaris. The girl serving cheerfully suggested I try the quinoa slice and boy I’m glad I did… moist, sweet and apparently healthy(she convinced me:) SERVICE Service is friendly and fast. The team seem to remain in high spirits yet with an air of professionalism. I couldn’t work out on the days I visited who was leading the team as I wanted to compliment their enthusiasm. Next time I shall make a bigger effort THEROUNDUP This is a little gem rapidly being exploited by the locals. Before long I am sure other suburban dwellers will cross over to Beaumaris to experience the Parlor for themselves so get in now before it becomes too busy

Grab a seat on the front deck and enjoy a great cup of coffee and a delicious breakfast. Too cold to sit outside? The Parlor have you covered(literally) with blankets for all! I must admit that it was an adorable sight to see a busy café with its patrons all bundled up in matching striped blankets, us included. The coffee is great and their breakfast and lunch menus have all the usual suspects with some interesting and delicious twists. However, I can never go past pulled pork at any time of the day and was not disappointed by their pulled pork sandwich! Overall, a fantastic café with a homely feel that is well worth a visit!

Another success for the Bayside area! The Parlor is a gorgeous café located on Weatherall Road that opened at the end of 2011. Since then, I feel this café has gone from strength to strength. This local delight is now open Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings(hopefully with more nights to come). Considering The Parlor is almost isolated in a largely residential area, you may be surprised to see how busy it is — especially on weekend mornings! But how can you blame the Bayside population? The Parlor is simply a pleasure to visit. The menu is varied, offering something for everyone and being updated often. I’ve found the meal sizes to be generous, especially when ordering brunch. The french toast was of a gigantic size. The little touches are cute, such as milkshakes coming in adorable milk bottles. Flowers on the table, friendly staff… you can see why this place is thriving in Beaumaris. The front deck is perfect for catching some rays of sunshine, with the view of the golf course. If the weather is less than ideal, don’t forget there’s also a back room. The large communal table in front of the kitchen helps to give the Parlor a lovely and warm homely feel. My favourite spot would be the quaint table for two inside, overlooking the deck. Just remember for busy times, you can call up ahead and reserve a spot! The Parlor Milkbar and Kitchen is truly a hidden gem, that has impressed since it’s opening.

You know when you walk into a place and feel immediately at home? Well that is the feeling when you walk into this place. Only 12 months old we have been going since it opened and it has become a firm favorite for Brunch on the weekend. The menu is varied and has been gently tweaked over time — but check the specials board on the kitchen door as you walk in for something a little new. The food is good and, more importantly for the locals, consistent. Lunch is just as good as breakfast and the tiny kitchen cranks out the meals quickly. Coffee is also excellent — important on the weekend after a big night out. There is a generous deck out the front of with large bi-fold doors that open in the summer. There is large communal table as you walk in which is good if you are by yourself and in addition to this a large room at the rear can be booked for large groups. The service is always friendly and the staff turnover is very small which speaks volumes for the culture of the place. Parking is out the front — but get there early on the weekend. Pram and kid friendly just adds to the atmosphere. Top Tip: you can book on the weekend. Do it.
