Ordered 2×20 chicken McNuggets for take away and they just gave me 2×10 Chicken McNuggets. Was too far away to go back already.

It looks like McDonald’s Alfred Street store has addressed it’s issues I wrote about in my last review. They have installed 2 pick up stations to alleviate yelling at customers to pick up food items. Secondly the staff numbers have increased significantly to cope with the numbers of patrons. Service standards have improved to what I would expect from a McDonald’s store and the appearance and cleanliness of the restaurant is a 100% improvement. Well done to the management.

This McDonald’s is terrible, easily the worst i’ve been to. Due to its proximity to Circular Quay, one of the busiest areas in Sydney, it gets crazy busy at times. You would think that they plan for this accordingly, by employing extra staff or perhaps not making all the burgers to order for each customer. I have been to other crowded McDonald’s stores where the usual made to order system is not utilised, as it is inefficient when dealing with large crowds. But no, this McDonald’s makes every burger, wrap or salad to order, so wait times are long, I normally don’t get my food for 10 minutes or more after I make my order. I don’t have big orders, usually just a meal or a burger. I don’t blame the staff for the delays, working at a busy Maccas is not an easy job at all and they’re trying their hardest to acheive the impossible, but having to regularly wait more than 10 minutes for a McDonald’s meal is ridiculous. This store isn’t exactly clean either, but with the volumes of people coming through I suppose that can’t really be helped.

Poorest customer service of any fast food place that I have been to anywhere in the world. Employees talking on the cell phone delaying customer orders. There is no excuse for that when you make $ 18/hour taking food orders.
