I was there today at lunchtime for my first visit. The décor is modern but not particularly exciting. The staff were pleasant but had limited English. The food was ok, I had the rabbit pappardelle which was lacking in seasoning, however my friend had the spaghettini with crab and tomato which was delicious with a great depth of flavour. Didn’t get chance of a photo as they’d started already. As a pud we shared the almond/orange cake which came with the most gorgeous choc ice cream. A decent coffee to finish. The high point was when one of the table of business men belched very loudly… Not! I will return to have the spaghettini.

This is a great option in the area for Italian food. There is a lovely variety of traditional cuisine with vegetarian and gluten free options. It’s cosy and the staff are attentive. The interior fit out is interesting and they have really thought about the acoustics(put your ear next to the grey soundproofing panels… freaky!). I have returned a few times now with different guests and it has been a great experience every time. I really love the Caprese Salad and the roasted chicken dish. The salads were also very fresh. We’ve also ordered the steak and it was excellent as well as some pasta dishes which were delicious too. Desserts look amazing but I have been too full to indulge, generous servings here in all courses. Having only been open for about 6 months, it’s popular and not a large restaurant so best to book if it’s a peak night. Check it out!

Lovely homestyle Italian, nothing too fancy but everything we ate was delicious & well seasoned. The Salt & Pepper Calamari was delightful as they use baby squid. The Chicken & Pistachio Polpette were moist and tender… will have a go at making these myself one day. We ended the meal with Pannacotta with Rhubarb Compote & a Cherry & Hazelnut Semfreddo with Raspberry Coulis which didn’t disappoint.
