The first bakery open in the morning and the last to shut at night, there were rumours it was open 24 hours, but I can’t confirm that, I know when you have the 11pm munchies they are open :) All round classic bakery, good bread, custard tarts are nomnom, service is always good, note though they don’t take EFT but… If you walk down to the tobacconist(about 4 shops to the right to the right) there’s an ATM, parking can sometimes be a «you know what» so just park in the little parking lot near the TAB(no one else parks there)

I love this bakery. Back in the day when I’d head out to the discos and catch the last train home, they were open! A pie or sausage roll while I staggered home was just the thing. You got served by the baker who was working out the back, but that’s fine. I still pop in for a sausage roll, jam and cream doughnut and red fizzy drink when I’m down that way using the laundromat. Their sausage rolls are the best.

When I was in high school, Baked To Perfection held the local title for best pies in the northern suburbs. When my friends and I got our licenses, we’d drive around the back streets of Kedron to eventually end up at our ol’ faithful, Baked(as we liked to call it). They used to have more pies than they do now, but the ones they do have are fine little pastry delights. I personally like to lift off the lid with a fork and scoop out the meat in the pie dish. It’s the best. They’ve got steak, pepper steak, steak and kidney, steak and cheese and others. They’re all $ 4. Outside of the pies, Baked to Perfection also put out some sweet candy pastries. You can find old favourites like meringue and neenish tarts here. Even though there might not be as big a range as there used to be, still drop into Baked for a pie. They really are something else.
