So if you are looking for an excellent foccacia or flat bread or something edible from a bain marie then this is definitely the place on campus to go. As well as their awesome selection of cakes and take away drinks, all in all, this place has an excellent vibe and taste. My only criticism would be the use of Vittoria coffee, it is a very strong and bitter coffee and if not made by the right person it won’t be great. To stay safe I order a Caramel Mocha, because at least this way I am guaranteed something delicious.

The first thing that always gets me in The Den(and not in a good way) is the smell. To the right of the coffee maker, where you’ll inevitably find me queuing, is the bain-marie filled with roasts, pastas, chips, and all manner of other greasy, salty delights. I know a lot of people like these options but the smell makes my stomach turn. Coffee, on the other hand, is alright. Not spectacular, but fast and one of the cheapest options on campus. This does, however, mean that there’s usually a long queue, so whilst the coffee making itself is fast, you could be in for a long wait. The Den also sells alcohol(mostly beer), sandwiches, fruit salad, icecream, sushi, smoothies and juices. It’s pretty much a food court in a café and when the weather is nice enough to sit outside can be a lovely place for a study break.
