I’m a big fan of Grill’d burgers, mainly for their food, and since the interior upgrade at Crows Nest, it’s moved from being solely a casual lunch place where I’d usually sit outside, to a touch fancier, with the booths a popular option to nab at dinner time, rather than simply doing takeaway. Returning to the important topic of food, my favourite burger to order is the Simply Grill’d with added cheese, a tasty meal for $ 11.40. Although I sometimes switch to a chicken or lamb burger(gotta love the name ‘Baa Baa’ burger!) It’s a tough decision between the regular and sweet potato chips, and they’ve also now added Zucchini Chips, which sound strange but I’ll still try next time. DOGTIP: Your pooch is welcome outside(as long as there’s a table free), or head to the park a few doors down.

I believe Grill’d is the next step up from ye olé local takeaway shops. Definitely more pricey but it get quality for it. Have tried mostly all the items on the menu, too many to name and also have tried their new«Superbun» burgers and that was pretty interesting. Trying to decipher what was in it without looking at the ingredients. Their herb chips are pretty good, it would be hard to find someone who didn’t like their chips! Herby(is that even a word?), salty and crispy what more do you need. Anywho good for lunchs and quick dinner’s. These days you can find grilled in most populated suburbs. Gooooooo Grill’d!

This review is for the one on Grosvenor street. Not sure why it’s called healthy burger since I’m sure it was loaded with calories, but with the calories comes great flavors. I had a bacon cheeseburger with sweet potato chips. The burger was cooked perfectly and the toppings were fresh and delicious. I love sweet potato chips and these were excellent. Salted well and charred, not fried. They have a selection of different sauces. I had the chili mayo which went very well with the burger and chips. Quick friendly service and I thought it was very good for a reasonable price. I’ll definitely be back!

I would not be lying if I told you these burgers are seriously delicious. They cater for gluten intolerant people which is a HUGE bonus in my books! Therefore they are more wonderful than wonderful :) They are pretty into societies well being. I really like it. They have great customer service skills. This afternoon they were busy, the guy who runs it was super awesome, he made sure that we were all comfortable and and even ran outside to wish us a good day. I definitely will be back again! I left feeling: great, energized and best of all non greasy!!! Good prices, good drinks, good variety! 10⁄10 score for over all greatness!!! HIGHLYRECOMMENDED!!!

Typical burger fare from a chain of up-marketing burger branded ‘restaraunts’. But seriously, if I want a burger, do I want a healthy one? No I do not. Well maybe I do when I feel self conscious about my weight, but then again… how can you resist the luscious chicken burgers, served with chips. Who said healthy had to be healthy? I do agree with comments about poor value for price, and the«it used to be good when it was underground» comments of others, but so what, the chain hasn’t really changed much, and the burgers are still the same. And a cool beer to wash it down is always welcome. Nice, but not amazing.

I don’t think you can quite call these burgers ‘healthy’ as they do tend the lay on the aioli and mayo, but they seem to put together a decent stack. I’ve eaten here a couple of times, and still have trouble justifying the cost though. For something which is considered ‘premium’ the product still seems to come across as poor value for the price. Presentation is better than the slap-dash at Mc’D’s, but is pretty plain. The bread is sometimes stale/over-toasted, and most of the flavour seems to come from the sauces. Chips are of the ‘steak cut’ style and covered with tasty herbs. Can get pretty noisy in the back with the music. Good air con back there though if its a hot day :)

I like the idea of the Grill’d «healthier» burgers. I mean, a burger is a burger but if you can have it on wholemeal bread than all the better. There’s also choices of veggie burgers, chicken and lamb, although I think one of the veggie burgers with cheese has just as much calories as the beef. This place can get pretty busy. Met my cousin and her family there on a Saturday afternoon. Had to grab a table in the back so we could fit their pram. The music was blasting so we asked if they could turn it down. We ordered some burgers, I had previously tried the lamb burger and the veggie before, so I thought I’d go beef. Went with the traditional pickle and mustard. Was cooked nicely and I love my pickles. We shared some hot chips and also tried to be a bit healthy and split the mushroom and feta salad — was really good. Chips were nice and had some nice herbs for flavor. It came with this tomato relish but I honestly prefer ketchup. Overall a good place with good, somewhat healthier burgers, good customer service.

For those that read my reviews will find that I review a lot over Gluten Free available restaurants and for those Coeliac’s whom gave up burger’s when they found out they were, then you need to find a Grilled Burger near YOU! Get your beef on!!!(chicken’s available for those that don’t like red meat too). For those that aren’t Gluten Free the burgers here are fresh tasty and well better than Mac D’s:)…

Decent place to grab a burger — they have a more interesting variety then the usual hamburger/cheeseburger. They may be slightly pricey for what you get, and if not the best burger in the world it is still pretty darn good. Good and bad points on service — the staff are friendly, and in a busy period they somehow lost my order… but to be fair to them they also noticed I had been waiting a while, and before I had the chance to complain they came to me to fix it up.

I used to be a fan of Grill’d when they were new and edgy, and made the coolest burgers. Now however they are just another fast food franchise with funky names and a different setup. The last burger we had at this one will be just that, the last burger we will have at it. Our burgers were on soggy buns, one was with mayo when we asked for none, and most off putting of all was the absolutely disgusting mess in the kitchen area that we could clearly see from our seats. There was a huge pile of crushed cartons and floor sweepings and other debris just pushed to a corner of the kitchen, by the same guy that was flipping our burgers. Blech! Sorry guys, you are now part of the establishment you were originally rebelling from, especially now you are franchised all over town. Pick up your game or you’ll go the way of the dodo!

Good, fresh burgers, quick — if a little over priced. Go for the simple options and the classics.

The fact that you can get a beer alone makes this a revolution in casual burgin’, but that’s not to undermine how bloody great the food is. Juicy burgers in an array of intelligent, tasty constructions, and herbed, salt-crusted chips worth battling over. One tip: always add dill pickles. Always.

I grew a wispy James Franco moustache in November 2010 and in return, I ate at Grill’d nine times over a ten day period. Yes, the miracle month of Movember is nearly upon us and the time is high to become a fundraiser and reap the rewards of delicious free burgers. Grill’d is a franchise that just gets it. From the red, brown, and white iconography and interior design of the outlets to the burgers and chips(oh man, the chips) to participating in important charity activities like Movember, Grill’d convinced me that you can deliver a gourmet burger experience to the regular patron, removed from the environs of an established restaurant. In my marathon of burgers, I jumped around the menu. Particular standouts include the Field Of Dreams(featuring a large field mushroom in lieu of a pattie) and the Chicken Caesar. As indicated above, the chips are phenomenal — the use of rosemary as a seasoning is something so simple that I’m amazed that no one has ever thought of it before. Grill’d is also a licensed establishment, so you can enjoy some cool frosty ones with your burger.

I love the concept of grilled. Healthy versions of our take away greasy favourites like meaty hamburgers and chips. They are healthier right? Well I’m not so sure with all that mayo and aioli. I still go for the chicken burger with gluten free bun to convince myself I’m doing my body favours by eating here instead of the greasy Chinese or Kentucky fry. Thing is with this particular Grill’d is that both times I’ve ordered the gluten free bun it’s been part stale and part soggy by the time I’ve sat down at home to eat it. Next time I’ll try the restaurant itself as it looks like quite a chilled out place to eat lunch on a sunny day — there’s seating outside and benches above street level that give you a nice people watching vantage point. I like the thick cut soggy chips they do but if you’re like the majority of hot chip lovers these won’t be to your fancy.
