Q Bar

Who doesn’t love Michael Fielding? Probably a lot of people. A lot of people probably don’t know who he is, so for them to love him would be a little odd and seem insincere.
Michael Fielding plays Naboo on the Mighty Boosh and he is also a DJ. He came out to Australia semi-​recently where he played a set at the Q Bar. To increase publicity and generate attendance for a DJ whom I’m sure most people wouldn’t know about. The Q Bar turned it into a Mighty Boosh themed dress up party.
Donning a moustache, turtle neck and various golden rings, I channeled the essence of Matt Berry as Dixon Bainbridge and with a group of exquisitely dressed friends; including Old Greg, the Crack Fox and a Mod Fox went out to the Q Bar for party times.
The Q Bar, up at least four flights of stairs, and this may be one of the Q Bar’s down falls (Or a falling down if you’re drunk) as the stairs seem to go forever, but perhaps this anticipation to reach the top makes the climax that much more enjoyable.
Once in the party we rocked and we frolicked on the dance floor, drank out of buckets, (As all civilised people do.) and sat on couches as the massive projector screens displayed an audio-​less vision of the Mighty Boosh.
Then late into the night Naboo finally appeared, but it wasn’t Naboo, it was Michael Fielding. He was probably the only person not in costume. Ironic? He played his DJ set whilst eating a packet of Thins. We danced, we cheered, we watched and then we left, went across the road to Hungry Jacks and ate regrettable Whoppers.
