Having poor eye sight is an expensive gig! Eye tests, glasses, contacts, sunglasses, the list could go on forever. And what I have noticed is that most places will have really cool glasses that cost $ 100 000 000 or they have cheap glasses that I wouldn’t give my Nonna. It’s ok my nearsighted compatriots. I have found the equilibrium.
I have been going to OPSM to have my eyes tested for years. But then, I take that prescription and I mosey on over to Glengarry spectacle boutique. They have an expanding collection of glasses at nominal prices and the best part is that most of them are covered under HBF. I once got a pair of glasses I literally paid nothing for because the frames AND lenses were covered under my HBF. You don’t need ²⁰⁄₂₀ vision to see that that is a good deal!
Even without top level cover, their range is still reasonably affordable and won’t break the bank. And the team are so lovely and helpful. It is a team of experienced optometrists who won’t give you the spin like the other ones of. They won’t sell you something you don’t need or will cause you damage, just to make a quick buck. And that is why, every time I need a frame update, I go back to them.
