Great local café ! It is tiny and nothing fancy but the food is so yummy and the service is great … The spicy pumpkin mash with feta on sourdough is delicious if you like chili :-) or you can just ask for a milder version… They serve it with a poached egg, homemade pesto, heirloom tomato and rocket … Heavenly mix of textures and flavours My friend praises the haloumi salad… We also tried one of their raw slices, a bit too much of coconut oil for me but I still enjoyed it. If you are in the area do not hesitate it is definitely worth it.

I give five because i have not found a single thing wrong as i am a picky person. The friendly staff and super passionate italian boss, the busy environment yet high quality coffee and also food(had brunch twice but probably dozens of time to take away coffee). Things are fresh and nicely presented. It is one of the place that only community knows anf loves and hope to keep as a secret.

Frank and his fantastic team continue to serve up great coffee and delicious food. Today Frank recommended the Two Ants Smash — mash of Avocado & Feta, Chilli Oil, Basil, Roast Toms and Poached Egg … absolutely delicious!!!

My fave little spot. Don’t come here because I can’t get a table when I want one as is!

Stumbled upon this café this morning, as it tends to be hard to find a spot to eat breakfast on the weekend since everything is so busy. We had to wait a few minutes but were immediately given a menu to look at while we waited. There was also a group of girls that were able to put in a drink order while they waited for a table. I had the eggs Benedict with ham and my boyfriend had feta basil scrambled eggs. Both were really really good and I would recommend. This place is kind of off the beaten path, but the prices are definitely much better than other places you’ll find on Macleay street.

It’s fine. I only come here for coffee, because the quality is consistent and the staff dependable. The place is «cute» in size, with seating(little crate height seats) inside and out. Although it does get busy /full very quickly. Come early. Weekdays aren’t so bad. [Update 29/04/12]: Tables and chairs outside! What can I say. This place feels like a cosy hole in the wall. Even more reason to just natter with the manager and barista.

I’m on a bus headed to Elizabeth Bay, I decided against riding my bike as a massive storm is forecast for later in the afternoon. As my bus approaches its stop, I see my friend waiting outside of a café in a purple singlet and dark grey denim shorts. How the café got into a purple singlet…(It never gets old!) I got off the bus and joined him, deciding that I too needed a morning coffee ahead of this meeting. I walk inside and wait to get eye contact with the barista to place my order. Beside me a baby breaks into tantrum, screaming at the top of its lungs. I respectfully step outside and await some silence before continuing on my quest for coffee. The father leaves and I approach the counter. «Soy Cap thanks.» He nods and begins to prepare. The Café has about four tables inside, there’s a large window and bench top to the right of the coffee machine and a few people standing outside of this with their coffee and breakfasts. The window doubles as a counter and is a nice little touch for an area full of runners and dog walkers. He hands me my coffee and I pay the $ 3.50. We leave and continue onto the meeting.
