Bronze Snake

Friend and I stumbled across this really cool clothing store while walking into Fitzroy from the tram stop. Could have spent hours in there as they had such a great collection of fashion items. Ended up leaving with a cute Mr. Nashville crop top and Wild Heart short sleeved tee. Could have bought more but had to hold myself back (Even with the great prices!)
Love their corner building– with it’s big open windows and Danish wood fittings. Great changing rooms at the back with a big mirror and clear splitting of mens and womens clothing for ease of finding things. We had a really lovely staff member help us out with our piles of clothes to try on and also recommended us a great bar in Fitzroy that we did go to– and was an excellent commendation (thank you!).
Very cool because they have an online store as well with a great 14 day return and fortunate for you Australians– free express shipping. Love their sweatshop free philosophy and gain from their non-​mass production so you can have some reassurance that your cool new item won’t be seen regularly on the street on others. Happy to know that it is a somewhat limited piece.
Would love to come back to see different stock especially new seasons. Glad to have found this gem!

I love any store that rewards their regulars, and Bronze Snake does this time and again. In fact, they’ll reward you even if you only pop in once!
Upon my first visit to Bronze Snake I picked up a snazzy new dress, at the counter the sales girl asked; «…do you want 20 per cent off?» Of course I did! They instantly signed me up as a ‘Bronze Snake VIP’ and now I often get a text from the team when they are having a sneaky sale (think up to 50 per cent off!) and a much cheaper bill at the counter every time I visit them.
This place is perfect if you are looking for that on-​trend dress or jacket, but don’t want to spend heaps and don’t want to buy up at Sportsgirl. Bronze Snake gives you the knowledge that you can safely rock up to that party and not see a hundred other girls wearing the same dress. Winner!

Bronze Snake is a great place to start for some fresh new items to add to your wardrobe.
Stocking both men’s and women’s clothing, the store differs from the standard fashion outlet because it stocks small ranges of great designer brands.
Most of the brands stocked in Bronze Snake are not rare, but un-​common, so you can take comfort in the fact the your newly purchased items will not be shared by many.
Its not the cheapest outlet but the quality of the clothing is definitely higher. I find that the men’s items are dearer then that of the female clothing. My housemate can find a new dress for around $ 80, but a men’s jacket will set you back $ 100 — $ 150.
If you are fortunate enough to visit Bronze Snake when they are having a sale, then be prepared for your credit card to take a beating. It’s good to see an high-​end outlet actually taking at least 50% items when a sale is running!
