I’m sorry but can’t even find a reason for the only star… Staff is friendly when we first walk in but problems started right when I got to my table. Really really dirty and sticky. Then the food… I couldn’t finish any of the hot dishes, really bad. Sashimi is not fresh at all and sushi… It’s a two piece thing, the rice doesn’t even connect to the fish. Sorry but don’t recommend at all.

This was a birthday dinner treat for me by my partner. We came across this restaurant last time and thought hey, an all you can eat sushi/sashimi buffet — don’t see that often. So we tried it and at $ 38.00 per head($ 29.90 on weekdays) it isn’t worth the price(maybe for the weekdays). The wasabi had no flavour at all, no matter how much you take. It feels like it’s been diluted somehow to increase the volume of it. The sushi itself wasn’t too bad but there are some that do not taste fresh, especially the rice — you can tell it’s overnight rice. The sashimi only had 3 choices of salmon, tuna, and yellow fin and even those were not nicely cut. There were also a couple of bones in the sashimi. I think the best thing out of the buffet, was the Miso soup and an grilled unagi(eel) which is a bit sad since you’re really there for the sushi/sashimi. There is also all you can drink beer and soft drink included in the weekend price of $ 38.00 but I found to be rather bloated with the beer. The dessert was far below my expectation. As a Japanese restaurant you’d expect something Japanese when it comes to dessert but all they had to offer were watermelon and oranges, 1 scoop of neapolitan ice cream that is likely from woolworths/coles, oreo biscuits, jelly, and coconut sago. I was very disappointed by the dessert. Overall I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone as you’re better off saving the money and actually having proper Japanese sushi/sashimi/Japanese dessert. My partner felt so bad that the place was a let down for my birthday dinner but it’s not her fault, Kumagoro needs to up it’s game.

My first all you can eat Japanese restaurant in Perth and for the value of $ 30 per person, it’s not bad for value when it comes to choose of food to fill your stomach. However, if you looking for quality of food with great taste, this might not be the right choice for you. The sashimi has a lack of freshness and the food ingredient seems to be a bit dull. They even provide pork belly bun which is something that I have never seen in a Japanese restaurant before. Therefore, I would only recommend to those who wish to enjoy a fast food sushi with unlimited supply for your belly !!!

Extremely good value for money especially if you’re hungry. All you can eat sushi and sashimi with a very good selection of fishes and other seafood. Recommended

I was next door at a ProBlogger event and didn’t want sandwiches or wraps for lunch — popped next door for a delicious ice boat of salmon and tuna sashimi. Comes with salad bar and miso. Good value for $ 16.50. Delicious food, fresh sashimi, nice ambience, good quick service. Happy tummy.
