This is probably the largest store from the Dick Smith chain I have been too. I had to be very careful about how I worded that sentence! They had a much larger range than the Karrinyup store that I usually frequent. They sell lots of handy electronic bits and pieces. Plus largest electronic goods, like stereos. I needed a modem extender, as the WiFi range in our house was the pits, and a new mouse for the finance’s computer. I had to wait a while for a staff member to help me as there was only two staff in the store and both were busy with other customers. When they were free they were very helpful and friendly.

As the only electronics store in Fremantle I only really visit the store if I’m feeling too lazy to travel to the city or Booragoon. They stock a good range of TVs, lap tops, Apple products(the only place jn Fremantle to stock MacBooks!), headphones and other audio visual equipment. Dick Smith falls short with their prices though, so more often than not I’ll make the extra effort to travel a little further to save myself a great deal of dosh. Their staff seem to be pretty on the ball with their tech knowledge and I’ve only ever found them helpful.

Although this is the only half decent place to buy electronic equipment in Fremantle, I still feel like a chump whenever I buy things here. I’m a musician and I go through a lot of stereo cables. Usually, I will buy them from Altronics in the city as they are about a third of the price; if I only have time to go to Dick Smiths, it can cost around twenty bucks for new cables, which is MENTAL. The store also carries a selection of gaming, electronic components and home entertainment gear, but you can find pretty much everything here cheaper somewhere else. The customer service people here have a bit of a clue about what they sell, which is nice, but they are often too busy to help customers beyond basic sales transactions. This isn’t a great option for electronics, but until a better retailer opens in the Fremantle area, I’ll probably keep going back.
