Exceptional service and knowledge of fine wines — great selection in stock. Do stop by.

This is a small bottle shop, but for its size it has a fairly impressive selection of wines. They even have an organic and vegan wine section, which is nice. The prices are pretty average, but they always have a few good offers on. Their selection of beers is not as good as that of their wines, but they do stock Matso’s Mango Beer, which immediately puts them into my good books. Likewise, their selection of spirits isn’t amazing, but all the staples are there. The service is friendly, and the only tiny quibble I have(although really it reflects more on me than it does on them) is that the door to the cold room looks like you can’t open it from the inside, so for one scary second I thought I was stuck in there, doomed to an icy, beer-soaked fate. It does open though.

Any bottle shop that sells organic wine is okay by me. Seeing as Fremantle Cellars provides a small selection of organic whites and reds, I rate them fairly highly. I also quite like it when bottle shops let you taste their wares before you buy, and especially when the people behind the counter know their Verdellho from their Rieseling. You might think I’m being toffee nosed, but Fremantle Cellars is hardly for the posh totties about town. They’re just a small, simple bottle shop, with great customer service and an adequate enough organic/vegan wine selection. They’re hardly a providore of international vintage blends, but they’re filling in for Liquorland’s abscence next to Woolworths, so one can hardly expect WA’s finest Sommeliers. No complaints here.
