I don’t go here often, but when I do, I wonder why I don’t bother to walk the extra hundred metres or so down to the ‘other’ foodcourt near David Jones. Yeah, the food here is pretty good most of the time. I’ve had a couple of shoddy experiences, but they’re forgiven for two reasons: Everything is usually really good and cheap, and the second reason being that it’s a food court stall. Who hasn’t had a bad experience at even their very favourite food court kiosk? I do agree that one of the upsides to this place is the proximity to Max Brenner, but usually I’m too full to fit anymore in. And did I mention that it’s pretty cheap for the quality of food being served?

Located in the David Jones food court on level 2 at the Glen, Happy Noodle is a pleasant suprise for the taste buds. The theme of this little gem is Malaysian, and the food put out here is of restaurant quality. Particularly tasty is their chicken satay, and their fried noodles. This is a great option for a Friday or Saturday night if you plan on spending the evening shopping. The prices are cheap, and the food is filling, tasty and fresh. Best of all, it’s nice and close to Max Brenner so you can follow your dinner up with dessert.
