What an awesome place! Went in with the girlfriend on a busy Friday night. Didn’t think we would get a table, but the waiter organised one for us. Food was superb, especially the crispy chicken with Apple.

Sabai is a MUST for foodies or anyone who appreciates fresh and creative meals. I’ve eaten there at least 2 dozen times now for breakfast or dinner. When I have visitors this is where I take them! Sabai gives visitors a taste of something familiar yet different. The Thai dinners make my tastebuds jump with enjoyment and already thinking of my next visit! And the Breakfasts served along with the consistently delicious Mahalia coffee make any coffee goer loyal! I’d love to replicate my favourites on the menu but instead I’d rather enjoy the friendly service, intimate atmosphere and presenation I know I can’t replicate at home. Treat yourself to a delicious meal at Sabai and make your mouth happy!

Well and truly the best café in the area. Sabai offer a comprehensive breakfast and lunch menu, and their Thai dinner menu is unreal. The curry puffs as a starter are a must. Really nice atmosphere too, away from the noise of Glenelg.

I adore this place. Constantly refreshing their afternoon menus make it a wonderful place to stop by and see what’s new. Being run by a family restaurant, it can often be problematic when you want to go for a meal and the place is closed while the family are on holiday. Additionally, they don’t do take away every night which for some strange reason always takes me off guard. That bring said, the only reason I’m caught off guard is because I love the food so much and want it on different days of the week. They also have their alcohol license which is an added bonus. When there is nice weather, the place is wonderful to pop in during the day and have a deliciously filling meal.

Absolutely awesome food. Super fresh flavours. Mostly Thai. Small room and hard surfaces can get a little loud at times(I’m just getting old!) but they make up for it in many other ways. Also open for breakfast most days and make excellent coffee. Very interesting /diverse wine list. **Even though Peter(owner) is an old school mate of mine, and he has my wine on his list, I have shared this review as I sincerely enjoyed my dinner and can’t remember when I had Thai as interesting and as fresh. Don’t believe me, try it for yourself and write a review!

The food here is really good. It’s a busy place(or at least it seems to be whenever I come here), but they’ve managed to put together a bit of a gem with a good combination of service, price and quality of the meals. I’m pretty sure I had the pad thai, which was delicious. Really fresh ingredients, beautiful flavours. I hadn’t realised that they’re dog friendly, which is another big plus in my book. Now that I know that, I’ll be back with my puppy very soon.

Sabai Café on the corner of Partridge and Bath Streets at Glenelg South is a pretty unique little café. I’ve only ever been here for coffee on a Sunday afternoon and the coffee is worth a mention but by all accounts they’re better known for their Thai Food. I just wish I’d known about their reputation when I went there because I am quite partial to a good serve of Pad Thai. They have a good selection of tables inside as well as a small but really cool outside area that is dog friendly. There’s just a few tables here but they face onto the street and it’s a great spot to watch the world go by on a lazy Sunday afternoon. I will be going back here very soon for a Thai meal. Can’t wait!
