Its the only Bahn Mi place in adelaide that does roast/bbq chicken as well as pork! This is my daily Roll place. Affordable, decent portions too!

GIVEMEALLTHEPICKLEDCARROTANDDAIKON! Gosh, I love this spot. They are right near work and if I happen to magically get there before they sell out for the day I know my belly will be satisfied. As another reviewer has pointed out, they do happen to sell out quickly here, usually by 2pm. This is something I could get frustrated by, but I’m just not. They state on their opening hours sign that they are open until sold out… soo… Anyway, any frustration or misplaced hAngry thoughts are completely dispelled by the wonderful, smiley service of the team who serve up tasty, fresh rolls with fresh house cooked chicken or pork, delicious pâté and generous carrot, daikon, corriander etc. They even add onion… which I am NOT a fan of, but others like it. Overall, the lines down Goody Road speak for themselves. This is no-frills, tasty, ‘healthy’ lunch for local workers and with banh mi, bun bowls, cold rolls and salads all under $ 6, they’re pretty dang friendly on the pocket.

Genuinely one of the best Vietnamese Rolls in Adelaide, fresh chilli is awesome, occasionally they run low on meat which is disappointing if you only want pork — no real complaints though

I am a big fan of the Vietnamese Roll or Banh Mi. I have tried a few places but keep coming back to Roll in Saigon. They are big rolls plenty of filling fresh Salad and home cooked meat. OMG I want one now. There is usually a line up and thy sell out lost days so get in quick. The service from the girls is fast and friendly always with a smile. Highly recommend but save one for me…

I live round the corner and love having a place that does Vietnamese rolls so close by. The bread rolls are crunchy, the carrots are pickled, the meat is juicy. I think overall they do a great roll. I also love that they don’t have lettuce or tomato on hand – two of my Vietnamese roll pet peeves. Every time I’ve been there’s been a bit if a line, but it moves pretty quickly. This is one of the few places down this way so you can understand why it’s so popular. If they run out try Candela(a few shops up) for tasty Latin American – you won’t be disappointed. Probably not the absolute best in Adelaide, but a decent contender.

Don’t make a special trip! Have tried 5 times to get rolls from here, & have only succeeded once. Twice they were closed at times they were supposed to be open, twice they only had vegetarian left. Today I rang ahead to check if they were open and what time the close, was told at 1.10pm, «yes we are open and we will be until we run out, probably around 3pm», she then asked if I wanted to preorder but I said we would just come down — didn’t seem necessary. 15mins later we were there, and what do you know? They had run out of all meats, only vego left! Asked them how that could happen, she said that’s why I asked if you wanted to preorder on phone. But she had also said on phone they wouldn’t run out for another hour and a half! We give up, how do they run a business like this?

Everyone has their favorite Vietnamese Roll location which they seem to be fiercely loyal too. For me it is Roll in Saigon in Goodwood. The south of Adelaide seems to be lacking many Bahn Mi locations so I was extremely excited when I heard about this place. I get the shredded chicken or vegetarian option but I have heard that the combo is also definitely worth trying. They also sell cold rolls, spring rolls, vietnamese salads and also traditional vietnamese coffee. If you have the time to venture into Goodwood and appreciate a quality Vietnamese roll definitely suss this place out.
