Wow! I’ve drove past this place so many times but finally stopped for dinner. Ordered the Turkish plate which was huge. It had a bit of everything. Looks like a family run business which adds to the charm and friendliness. Will update once I try the famous charcoal chicken.

Best chicken in Brisbane. It’s a South side classic that’s been here as long as I can remember. Their Charcoal Chicken is addictive, chips are great, salads ok and deserts are good. It’s run by a very friendly family which makes it all the nicer. There are the usual burgers ect but it’s all about the Chicken. Make sure you get Garlic sauce from the fridge, there is no better.

Since I moved to Brisbane, five years ago I’ve been searching for the type of Charcoal Chicken that is plentiful in Melbourne, finally I have found it! For $ 12 we had half a Spicy Charcoal Chicken and an impossible amount of chips. The chicken was succulent and perfectly spiced. The chips were crunchy on the outside and soft on inside, with no oily residue, very impressed. We also ordered Felafels which were the size of my fist and only $ 1 each, they were the best I’ve had in Brisbane, by far– that I can not emphasise enough, they were authentic tasting, which is what I had been been missing. The service was so very friendly, quick and proactive. Part of our group wasn’t at the table when the food came out and our server told us she would bring it all back out when friends came back, which she did almost to the minute. I loved this place, the quality of the food was better than many dine in restaurants I’ve been to. My only beef with this place is the the lack of parking. But, I live on the North side and I plan on many more trips to Robyn’s Charcoal Chicken to taste all the delicious sounding menu items! Stay tuned for updates!

Every now and then a take away from a chicken shop is a must because u can’t beat a good roast chicken and chips from a good one. Robyn’s is one of the good ones as chicken shops go. It’s a family run take away so the service is good and friendly. They have a great range of sandwiches too and one of my favorites is the BBQ chicken and gravy roll. There is just something about their gravy that I can’t finds anywhere else so now I get it as an extra and it goes on the chips the sandwiches and almost everything else I get from them. They do also have burgers that are good so you are not only bound to chicken items although that is their specialty. They also have the good old kebabs and its one of the only places in the area that you can get a kebab from on a Sunday. All in all a big thumbs up for Robyn’s Charcoal Chicken.
