This is our go-to pre Rivoli dinner place: partly due to its location, partly due to the delicious food, but mostly due to the fact that barely have I finished ordering and the food has arrived! Service is always attentive and friendly, we come back again and again!

Get to Rivoli cinemas early and looking for a bite? Recommend popping into Luk Charng, just across the road(the pedestrian crossing) and next door to ‘Monk & Me’. We’ve always had early sittings, and the food has come out super fast, which is great when pressed for time when your movie’s about to begin.(One time my partner ordered for me timed when I got off the train just up the hill, and the food beat me out by minutes). Quick doesn’t mean bad here though — it’s always hit the spot for us, and the prices are very reasonable too. Not that it’s anything extraordinary, but I quite like the lay-out and décor here; it’s just a nice space. For a big place though I’ve never really seen it fill up, but maybe that’s because we’ve been in early(and if not that, I would put down to the fact that near the C’well junction there’s just so much choice for places to eat.) Still, it’s serviceable if not spectacular, and next time I’m pressed for time before a movie will no doubt pop-in again and make sure my dinner isn’t just a large popcorn and a choc-top.

I was wandering around Camberwell trying to find a light tasty meal when one of my dining buddies suggested here. Great choice! The Pad See-Ew(noodles, broccoli and wombok with oyster sauce) was full of flavour as was the pad Thai combo(beef, chicken and prawn). Service was fairly stock standard but efficient and prices were pretty reasonable. Looking forward to using the take away menu I picked up on my way out!
