King Kebabs

Kebabs for me are more a 1am treat after a night of heavy drinking. Until I was in Berlin, now I was told about this amazing place selling the ‘best’ kebabs and they couldn’t of been much better!
Now I felt after this that I may have overlooked kebabs as a day time meal, so when I was in Hillarys, which I am quite often, I really felt like a kebab. I decided to give King Kebabs a go. I actually really enjoyed it, now I am not saying it came close to my Berlin experience but it was really good. They are cheap too which is another plus!
I feel if like me you are a drunken kebab lover, I would give a day time kebab a go, you may be pleasantly surprised.

I can’t remember when I first became a kebab man – a fan of kebabs, I mean, not a person who sells them – though I suspect it must have taken place at some point when I was living in Melbourne between 2006 and 2008. I had a good kebab place near my house in Sydney, too, and whenever I stayed in New York City I would often find myself going down to the halal stall on 86^th and Broadway and getting myself a gyro, usually at the end of a long and taxing night drinking heavily with the barman from the Mexican restaurant underneath my apartment. When I put it like that, it sounds rather ridiculous…
I am yet to find a place in Perth that comes close to the kebab places of my youth, but King Kebab comes close, with good, flavourful meat, excellent sauce, and a cheerful proprietor. The kebabs may not transcend kebabs, but it’s a very rare kebab indeed that does.
