Sitar Express Indian Takeaway Indooroopilly

Ordred take away around 7 ish. Food finally arrived an hour and a half later. The pakora was so oily that it nearly fell out of the bag, the garlic naan was so dry and tasteless. Goodness gracious me.
Wont be choosing them again

I’m not terribly happy with the service I received today.
In short, the issues with my experience were:
–Food was 45 minutes late.
–I paid extra for a peach iced tea and I received a (much cheaper) can of solo instead.
–My curry was mostly sauce, having only a few pieces of chicken in it. It was also lukewarm.
–The delivery driver didn’t bring any change with him. While I may have only lost a comparatively small amount of money, I am still not happy that I had to lose any. The delivery driver tried to blame me for his lack of change, and he didn’t even apologize to me for the wait or for the lack of change.
–My naan was soaking wet, as it had obviously been in its paper bag for awhile.
I don’t think i’d order from here again.

Took almost an hour & a half for the food to arrive by delivery. Food was bland with not heat at all, despite ordering the «red hot» vindaloo. Nann was chewy & tasteless, pakoras were a greasy mess. Never again.

The food is really nice, the staff is friendly and fun and the prices are okay, what more can you want from a take away place! They do have outdoor seating though, but it is next to the Indooroopilly train station and busy Coonan Street.
We had 3 vegetarian samosas each and I could have stopped eating after! They are huge. There could have been more spice in it for my liking but still they were really nice. We also had the Saag Paneer Naan filled with cheese and spinach and the beef and spinach curry and it was delicious. Will definitely come back again.

On a rainy day when you don’t want to mess with going outside, this is your place! Sitar Express only charges $ 5 delivery fee and you’ll have delicious curry and naan at your doorstep in 45 minutes.
My sister and I had the Meal For Two and it was the perfect amount. You get two samosa, Kofta curry, dhal, naan, to big servings of rice, and raita for $ 29.90. When I called to place my order, the lady was MORE than helpful. She offered to switch the dhal to vegetarian curry which was perfect! I had the mixed vegetable and my sister ordered the butter chicken instead of the kofta curry. I loved how accommodating she was and very helpful when we inquired about a few other vegetarian curries.
They repeated the order to make sure we were squared away and checked the address as well. They arrived on time and the food was fantastic! I like their naan and the curry was tasty. I would definitely order from them again.

When im in the mood for some curry I think of this place. Friendly staff. Great tasting food. Rather large portion sizes. I usually get a chicken tika masala and garlic naan. This is enough for me to break up into 3 meals when i get home. Ill be coming back here for years to come

This is a pretty good Indian joint to hit up for takeaway. The food prepared within a decent timeframe of 15 – 20 minutes from my phoning up to picking up. There is just enough minutes in this cooking for me to get dressed into something acceptable for the public and hop in my car and drive down to pick up some tasty Indian food.
The staff at this restaurant are pretty cool and down to earth type. They are very nice and deliver great service. When I get Indian takeaway from here, I go for my usual Rogan Josh, Butter Chicken and some Masala. Yumm.
This is an express takeaway place, so it’s not designed to service those who want to dine in. Also note that it is located on a busy road and near a train station. So it isn’t the quietest of places. Sitar Express is best for takeaway or a casual lunch during the day with their simple tables out the front.
Thinking of this place makes me hungry… I think I’ll be having this for dinner tonight!
