This always crowded family restaurant does traditional Italian food well. The staff are down to earth and friendly, happy to help whenever possible. The décor is very old school Italy. Dark tables crowded together, in this multi-room establishment with a long counter and bar that adds to the atmosphere. The pizza is simple and well made. Tangy tomato sauce mixes with other toppings to create an authentic pizza experience. My favourite dish, the Amatriciana pasta is perfectly spicy. And addictive. Be armed with water or BYO wine. Romano’s is good value honest Italian food. Served to you by friendly waiters that enjoy what they do. Also a great spot for takeaway pizza. Bypass the La Porchetta nearby and head straight here. You won’t regret it for a second.
