Just thought I give the SpudShed another chance by going there again today, as my last experience was bad with all fruits being stale. It was a BIG mistake! We made our way to Morley branch, and spent $ 40/-on fruits. And another $ 60 on meats etc. The full priced nectarines, peaches, nashi pears, navels were STALE!!! The nectarines expecially were powdery and not juicy. The peaches were falvourless and dry. Never again will I buy fruits from SpudShed. They claim freshness, yes maybe their potatoes but that’s it. Ok maybe onions, tomatoes, BUTNOTFRUITS, be WARNED. I recommend paying a dollar or couple more and buy from your local supermarket or IGA. Support your local. I have found Spudshed declined in quality over the years. MCQ is the same, all junk otherwise Pay double the price of main supermarket. I now will shop at Gilberts regularly. Their fruits are 3 – 5 $ a kg but A grade and taste fab! I will chuck all my fruits from spudshed today for the chooks tomorrow to eat. I hope they enjoy it though

I’m a definite«River Cottage» person that loves eating fresh fruit and veggies and my piddly little garden patch at home is a testament to that fact. So for me, the Spud Shed is like Bunnings to the DIY man. It has everything… well nearly everything. Prices are amazing(I genuinely think you can save nearly 50% on your grocery bill here as opposed to the local supermarket). However, you need to remember that this is a farmer’s market and things are picked fresh which means that you probably need to eat them pretty darn quick-quick. Sometimes you will find something that has turned but what the heck, you are saving so much on your monthly bill anyway. The supermarkets churn out unripened food which is why you can leave them for a decade longer in your fridge! Also, the supermarkets tend to hand pick the good looking shapes which is why their cucumbers look… well like cucumbers… not deformed green things that bulge at one end and not the other. The meat is sometimes of great value(you need to keep an eye out for deals), but nowadays the supermarket is a better priced bet. Trust me, fresh is best and they are open 24-hours a day. For me that counts and that is why I do my big shop at the Spud Shed when I’m cooking for large groups. As a chef on boats that is often!

Ok its cheap. Veg is not great. Meat looks like the cow died of old age. Still is open 24⁄7 and of you are going to eat the veg that day its ok. Staff are friendly but some of the customers are well rude.

This place was amaaaazing it’s not the first time I’ve been here, but the first time I did a proper shop. it was crazy busy and not very much room to move around, but unlike other shops where people tend to get ansy in those situations, shoppers were quite calm and polite. I was extremely happy with the range of fruit and veg, there was a lot you don’t find in your every day markets, plus the prices were massively cheaper. also, how great is it that they are open 24⁄7? it’s probably the most exciting place you can go at 3am on a Sunday in Sleepy Perth. huge fan. we should all love supporting local businesses.

I am a fan yes! The fruit and veg is cheap, it’s not Agrade but you know sometimes I just don’t need Agrade. I don’t buy my eggs from there as they are caged chooks but I get my ferguson valley milk from there and I love it. Who doesn’t love a chick from the valley?

Cheaper than the larger supermarket chains and independents, but still something missing when compared to the atmosphere of a Sunday afternoon strolling through Freo, Wanneroo, or even Coventries. Pretty good range for your weekly fruit and vege. But do you really want to drive an extra 30 minutes to save $ 15? Convenience is how the big boys get you every time.

I have been to the spud shed twice and it is far from the best of the cheapest place to buy fruit and veg and the quality is very poor most of the fruit is bruised and the vegetables are wilted. Meat is cheap here and comes in bulk and if you don’t mind cutting up beef for the freezer which i don’t it is probably the best place to buy it. I would recommend the Subiaco station street Markets for you fruit and veg by far the cheapest i have found in Perth.

You have to admire the convenience of Spud Shed — open 24⁄7 and a very decent range of what is available. I find that they are constantly adding a larger variety of items but it definitely covers the basics and more! Pre-cut cold meats, fruit and veg, various cuts of meat, a self-serve confectionary section, frozen foods, regular groceries just to name a few. And instead of charging a premium for the convenience of opening later like most petrol stations do, most items are actually cheaper than buying from Woolworths or Coles, which I think is really great. I usually go outside of regular trading hours to avoid the queues and I have always found it easy to find parking and quiet enough to not feel crowded. I will say that the staff are usually not over friendly or overly helpful, but the store is pretty small and self-explanatory compared to a Woolworths so you can always find what you need without assistance. I have never been to Spud Shed to find I am the only one shopping, which suggests that maybe perth needs to extend its trading hours. Thanks Spud Shed for heading in the right direction!

The Spudshed is open 24 hours, 365 days a week. If you’re wanting to have a midnight picnic with cheese, crackers, pâté, quince jam. pears, and grapes and you don’t have any of those things, head here. Yes, I’m speaking from experience. There are always people shopping, even at 2:00AM in the morning. Yes, it’s away from the more populated areas of Perth but there’s nowhere in Perth that has a 24 hour grocery store without crazy mark ups on their prices. Think about it. While I go to Spudshed for groceries, I go in to also find something quirky to buy because there are hidden gems of produce that you would normally find in specialty food stores on the shelves often marked at a lower price.

I like spud shed. It has many great things going for it. Awesome trading hours and often locations that are a bit further out, I actually like the fact you need to travel to them. They have a massive selection of fruit and vegetables along with other imported supermarket goods, local produce and brands you are used to from the likes of Coles. Their no nonsense and basic approach in my opinion really works. The quality of the vegetables is good and they last a decent amount of time. I am not a huge fan of the fruit on offer here, although cheaper than the local supermarket I find paying the extra from Coles etc works better for me as I am a real large(and fussy) fruit consumer. The guys who work there are efficient and there is plenty of onsite parking without issues. Big win of the day for me 24 cans of Mountain Dew(imported) $ 10 bucks

Where to get groceries at a awkward time/date? Spud shed. Yeah Spud Shed is a great & helpful place for purchasing groceries at a time in need when all the other super market giants closes and slumbers. Spud Shed is always there for you whenever you feel like making a meal during 2 am and you do not have the ingredient where would you go? Spud Shed. This huge warehouse store is brilliant the prices for their produces are reasonable and many times from experiences they are fresh. The inside can get very crowded and traffic wise some produce stands are narrow so it can never fit their slightly larger trolleys through(it only happened once). Spud Shed is there for you and I to shop at a insomniac time.

The Spud Shed in Jandakot is a huge grocery shop which not only offers spuds, but also all types of fruits and vegetables, as well as other groceries. There is so much parking on site and it is located down the road from the Jandakot Airport. The best part about the Spud Shed in Jandakot is that it is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. I have visited here at 1am and the place still has people doing their shopping, but as you can imagine, it is very quiet. Although you do have to be careful that the fruit and vegetables you are buying are not bruised, most of the produce is in perfect condition. The remaining grocery items offer a variety of products. They even sell bread, frozen goods, meat, and dairy products. When you are desperate to do your shopping but have run out time, this is the place to visit, any time of the day.
