I had a takeaway from here after hearing some great reviews by word of mouth. I didn’t want to eat in as the décor and atmosphere isn’t to my liking and is rather bright and food court-ish. I order ban chow sang for starters and I was concerned it may be soggy when I picked it up but I was pleasantly surprised that they thoughtfully packed the filling and lettuce leaves in separate containers so I could assemble them at home ensuring maximum freshness. For main I had chicken chow mien, chili and lemongrass chicken and plain rice. All, like the starter, were made of the freshest ingredients and tasted like they were made from stretch rather than a packet mix — the fresh flavors of ginger, chili and lemongrass shone through. Overall I would highly recommend this restaurant for take away — fresh, tasty, not greasy and delicious!

Blink and you might miss it; this little Vietnamese restaurant is the hidden gem of Joondalup. Okay, so I still can’t get my head around the name of the restaurant. But I really couldn’t care less considering my brief lunch break has now become quite a treat… And I think my colleagues would readily agree! The restaurant offers an $ 11.90 lunch menu, along with a much needed departure from the long waits and greasy food offered at the ever so popular Kulcha Restaurant down the lane. If you enjoy the food at Lido Vietnamese Restaurants but live too far north of the river, you will love BT& Friends. The menu is extensive, but the signature dish is without a doubt the shaken diced beef with fried rice and salad. My colleagues would disagree and recommend the chicken with stir fried vegetables– but I’m Asian and they’re not, so whose word are you really gonna take? Either way, you can’t go too wrong. Don’t be deceived by the empty tables– this restaurant is relatively new and simply undiscovered. I can’t comment on the table service as we always order takeaway. What I can say is that the kitchen staff are well experienced in Vietnamese Cuisine and this is clearly evidenced in their dishes. Finally… a REAL Vietnamese restaurant for those who reside in the far north.
