I really enjoyed brunch here recently. The service was fast and efficient and the staff were very welcoming and friendly. The meals were beautifully presented and very tasty. I would go back again.

What an amazing little find. Absolutely loved Nana and Da’s. Lovely little cottage atmosphere, friendly staff and the food is exceptional. I had scrambled eggs with bacon, and potato and mozzarella hash. Whatever you order make sure you get the hash on the side because it is well worth the $ 5 extra. For me it was the best thing by far. I also had the most delicious house made lemonade I’ve ever tasted. Everyone was very pleased with their meal. Also it’s open all day Sunday. I would highly recommend this little gem.

I was sent a text and was asked to quickly find a location for a small group of 5 people to meet up and have breakfast. In a flash I hit up Unilocal, praying for an option close to hotels near Chermside, with good food, and good prices. I am so thankful that in my first search one of the recommendations was Nana & Da’s. LOCATIONLOCATIONLOCATION The name alone sounds antique, family oriented, and comforting. After looking at a few pictures and the scenery, I knew that Nana & Da’s was the perfect spot. The cottage location builds upon everything the name represents. Cute, family and comforting. The cottage however wasn’t small whatsoever with plenty of room for small and larger groups. Nana & Da’s sells a selection of relishes, and chilli so that you can even have a part of the splendour at home. Now, less about the awesome scenery and back to the what’s really on everyone’s mind, and most likely the reason you are reading this– FOOD. Dear lord the food was amazing. I personally ordered the ‘Potato & Mozzarella Hash, Lemon & Dill Labna, Tomato Relish, Shard and Poached Eggs(gf) *add bacon and a Bloody Mary to cure a hangover(I added bacon). Firstly, the hash was amazing, and as it’s possible to have it on the side for $ 5.00 I highly recommend getting it extra, regardless of your budget(it’s definitely the standout). Accompanying that was the labna which I had to share with everyone who ordered with me because it was an experience I had to share with others. The relish was great but was slightly gritty. The eggs were also great, and as I ordered some bacon as a side, they worked together beautifully. I could rave on all day about my spectacular experience but as you must already know, all the food was delicious. My company also raved about their amazing meals, and from our altogether experience, I can without a doubt say that Nana & Da’s is one of the best breakfast locations in Brisbane. Oh and did I mention the breakfast is served all day? Enjoy!

After seeing Unilocalers check-in and share reviews of their breakfasts at this Kedron café, I figured it was time to revisit. And maybe I was sun-drunk from sitting out the front with Spring’s sun rays beaming down on me, or maybe(as I suspect) after more than a year serving their eats to hungry breakfast hunters, Nana & Da’s have found their groove. When I first visited, it was their first week in business and since then they’ve settled into their cottage café. I was pleased to discover they’re still pouring Supreme beans and my long iced black was the best accompaniment to a hot Spring day. There’s an all day breakfast and a hearty lunch menu featuring items like beef brisket and plenty of vegetables! And, if you’re only in the market for elevensies, check out the cake cabinet by the counter — lemon tea cake, raspberry friands — they’re all there. I opted to order from the all day breakfast menu and honed straight in one the three cheese toast with buttered asparagus. Regardless of what time of day you’re eating this it isn’t a large meal — more of an ample snack. It’s perfect if you just want something to tide you over or you find yourself not particularly hungry but everyone else is ordering that stack of pancakes.

Fantastic little spot! Came here with a girlfriend for breakfast today after reading some good reviews, was really fantastic, Coffee I can say with confidence is one of the best around, subtitle gentle flavours that went perfectly with spring! Breakfast was five star! I had their pancakes with honey glazed banana and maple syrup, it had tiny crisped balls of coconut and almonds sprinkled on top and a perfect serving size they were made well and tasted amazing. My friend ordered avocado on rye and it was I think about $ 9 and was huge, strips of cooked zucchini and other delicious stuff! Great value. The staff were super friendly and helpful too, had a really wonderful vibe, we felt like regulars(which is my favourite kind of service :)) Overall I say definable check these guys out!

After reading about Nana and Da’s I finally managed to stop by for breakfast with my in-laws after having visited once previously for coffee. The café is situated just off Lutwyche Road in a quiet street, with plenty of street parking. Breakfast was absolutely fantastic, and it was especially great seeing that almost the entire menu could be made gluten-free(with only one or two exceptions). This was a welcome sight as one of our party was coeliac and they weren’t limited in any way. There were so many good things on the menu it was hard to decide what to order, and that was before looking at the daily specials! We ultimately chose the corn fritters, and two options from the daily specials menu: the brekky burrito and the roasted mushrooms. Everyone enjoyed their breakfasts immensely. The food was fantastic and good value. The coffee great and well priced. Nana and Da’s also offer several milk alternatives, including almond milk! There is also a well-stocked sweets cabinet, with lots of scrumptious looking options and lots of GF options as well.

Came here in the first couple of weeks and fell in love immediately with what they have created from a run down old store. I have a serious crush on old shops, so get very excited one someone sees the possibilites of these little spaces and creates something wonderful. The fitout, renovation is 5 out of 5. Beautiful. Food and menu is great, however visiting so early on, meant that they were still finding their feet with service and systems. So it was a bit of a long wait for our order to be taken. Then sadly our coffees and muffin didn’t arrive at anywhere near the same time, so one when was finished when the other arrived. But, I can see that this was early days problems and am sure with the weeks passing, the systems would get slick. Will pop back in next time we are passing that way to check it out.

Nana & Da’s is now my local, tying for 1st with Elixir Coffee. I first heard about it from a family member who had just recently visited. They raved about it, so I decided to check it out for myself. The atmosphere at Nana & Da’s is warm, welcoming, and humming with activity. Try to find a quiet day here – I dare you. For a new place, word travels fast. Mind you, that’s not hard in Brisbane. My usual coffee of choice is a piccolo, but I’ve been all about the long black espresso lately. I find either of these two usually determine a good coffee spot for me. Apologies to anyone who drinks differently! The coffee here is consistently good, even with more than one barista on staff. Now where there is usually good coffee, good food usually isn’t far away. Nana & Da’s have just added some new items to their menu, including a lunch selection. I’ve had most dishes on the menu, but the pork belly bagel is the best I’ve had so far. I mean, what’s not to like? Pork belly bagel? Anyway, do yourself a favour and park yourself at Nana & Da’s for breakfast, brunch, lunch, or all three. It’s all good. Keep up the awesome work guys!

Living in the Northern suburbs of Brisbane usually means a quick drive to get to your favourite café. Luckily for me this gorgeous little place opened up within walking distance and I couldn’t have been more impressed with it. Originally a bakery in the ‘30s, Nana & Da’s serves up a great coffee and scrumptious food. Nestled in a quiet street, this rejuvenated cottage has beautiful vintage looking ceiling medallions and bright floral wallpaper. The tea is served in china tea cups(as it should be) and comes with a souvenir spoon that really adds to the character of the place. The menu is quite small but packed with delicious inventions, while there I had poached eggs, garlic mushrooms an haloumi which was delicious. Staff were friendly and welcoming and I can’t wait to go back again.
