Went for breakfast and was a bit disappointed. The coffee was okay, and the food was reasonable but certainly nothing special. My biggest problem was the fact they charged me $ 2 for my sons babycino. It’s left over Froth! It didn’t even have marshmallows or anything. It such a small thing to complain about but it’s the principal. If someone buys meals it should be free or 50c. Also it was raining so everyone outside was getting a little wet because the shade cloth had gaps in it. Doubt I will return.

love, love, love this place. When I am in Brisbane I always visit as close to where I stay and so far have only wanted more. Coffee is always spot on and the food is always generous and so delicious. I have had the avocado on toast with fetta several times and it gives Nigella a run for her money. would definitely recommend and always busy which is also a good sign.

Continuing our quest for the best breakfast in Brisbane we called in to the Fuzzy Duck Café and were greeted by a couple of cute ducks who were in for a Saturday morning visit. We ordered the Big Fuzzy Breakfast with avo added and the Sweet Potato and Zucchini Fritters with poached eggs added. Both meals were delicious with perfectly poached eggs and good coffee.

The first time I was here a month ago, I had a coffee and a sausage roll which were satisfying. The service was somewhat less satisfying but I chalked it up to a busy day. Today, I was greeted less than enthusiastically and when I asked for ice for my juice, was informed they’d run out of ice. Fair enough. We ordered our lunches — I had the pork belly and my companion had the zucchini fritters. My companion greatly enjoyed her fritters. I thought the pork belly lacked flavour though the Asian coleslaw was right on the money. The service was disappointing and brought the whole dining experience down. Shame! No smile, no friendly hello. In fact, one wait staff was determined to not make eye contact with any customers. I felt snubbed. Not sure if I’ll be back even if that slaw was delish!
