Pssst… don’t tell anyone but we go there once a month to get the birthday cake for our office. Ok we have been doing that for the last 3 years. It started off with just one person going to pick the cake– now for of us make the beeline first Tuesday of the month to bring the cake home and of course the coffee! It is the best coffee on this side of hoddle street. And the sweets are so tantalising.

While the café’s in Kew Junction are plentiful, we are somewhat starved of good quality coffee and baristas, hence why many of us travel up the hill to this chain café.
Yes, the coffee is good and made quickly, however I do think it is a little cheeky of them to charge almost $ 4 for a small coffee… I have certainly had better elsewhere and for cheaper.
But it is the baked treats that will catch your eye and make you swoon (and make you fork out the dough. Pun intended.) Muffins, cupcakes, tarts and giant cookies — it is all here. Perfect if you are looking for a birthday cake or a little gift for a job well done.
Cocoa is actually much bigger than it may first appear — sneak down the back hallway and you’ll find yourself in a gorgeous outdoor courtyard. Perfect for a sneaky coffee in the summers sun!
