I visited this shop with family on Australia day which is yesterday for the day trip. there were busy hours in the shop because the shop is in good location with good view near sea side. so the price is a bit more expensive but not so special. anyway we understood about it. but the owner and some staff never be kind, considerable and even they tried to be rude to customers… because of them, all of my family felt so terrible and got bad memory about kiama. please be aware of the lady staffs when you visit there. I recommend not to go to this shop but the other shop. thanks to read.

I’m far from a fish and chips expert, but I’ve tried it at a few respectable places in London, and had it served fresh at fishing ports in Ireland, Rhode Island, and Maine. This is the best fish and chips I have ever had, period. I went with the barramundi. Mike C.‘s review is largely spot on. I wouldn’t call the place filthy, but there are some cardboard boxes piled up, and the dirty dishes in the bus bar aren’t removed too often. I didn’t see silverware. You have to carry your trash outside to the big bins rather than have a proper indoor trash can. And it’s fairly expensive. Expect to pay $ 15 dollars for an order, which is a reasonable size piece of fish, with drinks another $ 4 on top. Took about 10 minutes for my order to appear. None of that matters. Best fish and chips ever. Five stars.

This place has the best fish and chips in town(as a local, I’ve tried them all!). But… It is a crying shame that the owners appear to be so stingy that they don’t appear to spend a single cent on keeping the restaurant and surrounding areas clean, can’t even buy proper signage(check out the gelato sign) and until recently didn’t even supply knives and forks.
