Huge servings for cheap prices. Prawn dumplings and the pork bun were really good as they had crispy elements to them. Fried rice was fairly average as was the beef and vegetable hand-made noodle stir-fry. Basic restaurant with cheap easy food with the option of BYO.

Good place for a decent meal and very reasonably priced meal on Anzac parade. Food comes immediately as it has been cooked.

Good, fast, cheap, tasty, juicy, cash-only dumplings for you and the family and your friends and maybe you drunk uncle to come and enjoy in a communal setting on Anzac Parade like you were in a hutong in downtown Beijing. … if how I would describe this experience in one sentence. We had some takeaway boiled egg curry puffs from another store that we brought in with us and they were cool with us eating these at the table. Big props for being max chill. We hit the beef, pork, prawn and vegetable steamed dumplings and man, I gotta tell ya, pork just steal the day, don’t they? I mean I’m as big a prawn fan as the next bloke, but there’s just something about pork and the way it’s all juicy delicious inside that glutinous little wrapping. It’s a happy marriage, one that I want to eat as much of as humanly possible. I’m not an Anzac Parade regular, but this place made The List, that one I keep in my head.

We came here on a monday around noon time(public holiday) and it was 60% full. We ordered some dumplings and main. Initially they told me we might need to wait for the dumplings so the main would be served first. No problem. After 15 mins, the dumplings came, and they said the chef made it for us first… oh sure… when we were done with the dumplings, it took ANOTHER20 mins for the main dish to come. 20 mins !!! We were still hungry when we finished so we ordered some boiled dumplings. MISTAKE — cause it took already 15 mins. Seriously, how difficult is it to boil some dumplings(assuming the dumplings were pre-made). The food was not bad, but the wait was really annoying. Not sure if I would be back…

I’ve been there twice and was satisfied both times by the food and the service. There’s a lot of choice on the menu. The dumplings are good, although the pan-fried dumplings aren’t fried all the way around as you might find in Beijing or other Chinese restaurants(which is a bit disappointing). You can choose different portion sizes for some of the dumplings, which is quite convenient. The pancakes are quite delicious, and reminded my brother and I of those we used to eat in Taiwan when we were children. It’s a nice place to get several different dishes to share, so that you can get a taste of various dishes. Overall a good experience, not very expensive, and conveniently close to UNSW for students.

Absolutely love this place, try and get here every time we can. Really good simple traditional Chinese dumpling restaurant, with plenty of other good items on the menu stand out is the Peking duck absolutely delicious and very affordable. So good, so cheap. One of my favourite places to eat.

Great range of food 214 dishes on the menu. Had fried delicacy dumplings which are great. Also had shredded chili chicken, shredded beef in Peking sauce, eggplant in Thai style. Total was $ 42. Ended up taking half home. Atmosphere is nothing to right home about but you go there for food. Service was good and food come out fast.

The hand made dumplings in this restaurant is good, really good! I like it a lot! So much better than the frozen dumplings sold in Asian supermarkets. The other dished are okay I think, and I guess the main reason this restaurant get so many non-Asian customers is their dishes is mainly aimed for these customers’ taste. But for Asians, those dishes might be too simple for them, nothing special. That’s why I think the Asian restaurants are either filled with Asians or only got non-Asian customers. But I bet everyone like their dumplings though, taste really good!

After reading the reviews I thought I’d give this place a go… and boy was I pleasantly surprised. The food is good here and it is reasonably price — my partner and I ordered 1 entre(which is more of a main), 1 main dish, plain rice each and 8 dumplings — and paid $ 32. Plus we had quite a bit left over so I’ll be having this for lunch today!

Not much to look at, but great food, and friendly, if hurried — because they were so busy! — service. I’m a vegetarian, and found some nice dishes; I had an extra wide fried noodle dish — noodles wider than any I’ve had before — that was quite good. Also had pan fried veggie dumplings, which had tasty dough, but non-descript filling. Okay, but sauce would help. Still, an enjoyable dinner at a modest price — tea included! I’ll be back to try their spicy eggplant.

Cheap and cheerful — and good food. There’s a group of us who are regulars here, pretty much once a week, rain, hail or shine. Some of the waitresses know our order when we come in :-) I recommend the shredded chicken salad, the cucumber salad(both in the cold dishes), the hand made noodles with XO beef sauce, and of course the dumplings. The pork ones are good, but I prefer the beef. Might have to be a little more venturesome and try the shallot pancake or the shredded pork now that I’ve read some of the other reviews :-) We usually roll out of there stuffed to the gunwales for twelve bucks apiece. I should say that my gunwales are nigh on unstuffable…

Often when I hear friends of mine commenting that there is very little great Chinese Restaurents in Sydney, I always ask have you been to Anzac Pde in Kingsford. A majority of the restaurants are Chinese cuisine with south east asia cuisines as well due to the large student hub and living quarters of students of neighbouring UNSW. This is the shining beacon in Anzac Pde for Chinese and even all the asian cuisine, and as such is usually quite busy in comparison to many others. Sure its not the flash«fusion» that has become so popular in the CBD of late but a homely feel, that reminds you of coming home and having GREAT food after a long day to satisfy the body and mind. It’s service can be very good, but considering it is usually quite busy and there is one front of house attendant it can take sometime to get waited on… but when you come here it isn’t something you should take as bad service — due the food and price per person(especially if large group) can be. It’s my go to for great Chinese in Sydney, if you don’t take my word for it that’s fine but Kylie Wong’s endorsement for best Dumplings in Sydney hanging on the front of their door cannot be wrong!

I made the trek all the way to Kingsford to try some of the best(allegedly) dumplings in Sydney. A complete hole in the wall, Chinese Dumpling and Noodle House is practically void of decoration, furnished with simple tables and chairs. It was pretty crowded, mostly with non-Asian clientele. Usually this turns me off, since I always believe that the best ethnic restaurants are filled with patrons of that respective ethnicity. Still, my friends pressed on that their handmade noodles and dumplings were fantastic. We ordered these handmade noodles with chicken, a clay pot eggplant in a chili sauce, and two plates of dumplings, one fried, one steamed. All the food came quickly and our waitress was very nice. The shared quality among all these dishes was the unbelievable salt level. I found myself chugging water in between bites. I’ve definitely had better dumplings with a more intricate and flavorful filling. The eggplant dish was also just okay. Overall, it was a decent experience, especially when I take into account that our entire dinner cost only $ 30(split between three people).

The Chinese Dumpling and Noodle House is one of my favourite Asian Restaurants, it has very basic, unpretentious surroundings and is very reasonably priced. The place is always busy which is testament to how good it is. Last night my flatmate & I ventured up the street to Chinese Dumpling & Noodle House where we shared a large serving of vegetable dumplings, spring rolls, a shallot pancake(they are soooo good) and shredded Pork with Beijing Sauce which comes with little pancakes to wrap the pork in, it was an absolute feast which we struggled to finish, but we succeeded. I prefer the pork ribs in Peking Sauce, which I’ve had before, but the meal was delicious and the bill was just over $ 30 and well worth it.
