Finding kicks I like is hard work. It’s hard work in Perth, Melbourne and New York. But Un1son make it a little bit easier for me. The don’t have a huge range of girls kicks, but to be honest when I look around I don’t see many other girls with my taste in shoes. The shoes the do have however are right down my alley. And the best part is the guys that work there are super friendly and willing to talk to me about sneakers. Thanks for being awesome guys!

When I walked past the Un1son window I thought it was a cool mix of vintage and street wear not too over the top and not to casual just versatile enough. So I was a little disappointed when I started looking around that there was in fact nothing vintage only vintage inspired pieces that weren’t really for my taste buds.
I did see some really cute high waisted shorts with pretty colourful patterns that I hadn’t seen anywhere else but I wasn’t that in love to pay $ 100 for them. They also have a great range of mens sneakers and casual shoes, and I think they’ve really differentiated themselves with the other stores around them by playing up this cool urban street wear style but personally I think it works better for the boys than the girls.

This store is really cool, the clothes they sell are like street wear, with some really big brands such as reebok being sold there. They have an amazing range of t-​shirts, some really usual looking designs and all really trendy.
For a shop with these kind of clothes in the centre of Leederville I was expecting to pay a fortune but no, in fact it isn’t that expensive at all!

These guys oughtn’t care for search engine optimisation (ie: the 1 in place of a letter ‘i’ in Unison might leave them low on Google search lists) for they should have plenty of fans who like to walk into their boutique for the full tactile experience.
Un1son Apparel stock one of the broadest array of arty t-​shirts I’ve seen in Perth: far more unique pieces than you’ll ever find in T-​Bar, that’s for sure. There’s also plenty of unique womenswear on offer, and for sneaker freaks, row upon row of credibly-​labelled casual footwear.
So much stock, and still plenty of room to move, and I like that.

Hurrah! Finally, a shop that sells trendy clothes that aren’t musky, second-​hand, vintage or vintage-​inspired!
I’m getting so jaded with shopping in vintage stores in Perth just to get clothes that are in some way fashionable. Thank the Lord for Un1son, with its range of trendy, unique, über-​cool and above all NEW designs of urban streetwear. What a treat to put something on and pop the tags off it that were put on it in the factory it was originally made in!
I adore every single thing in this shop — the shoes, t-​shirts, shorts, dresses, watches, and all the men’s stuff too. Wearing clothes from Un1son makes me sing that Outkast song in my head as I’m walking down the street — ‘Don’t you think I’m so sexy, I’m just so fresh, so clean, so fresh and and so clean, clean.’

Un1son stocks streetwear apparel and sneakers to the hip Leederville crowd. I was super impressed with the range of international labels and the choice variety of designs and styles of t-​shirts the store holds. Un1son is one of a handful of quality streetwear stores in WA and have developed a reputation for attracting trendsetters with quality brands such as Jeremy Fish’s brand SuperFishal, Pointer, Lacoste, Lee, Rebel8, New Era, Reebok, Tank Theory, Emerica, Casio, New Era, The Imaginary Foundation and more. The garments are reasonably priced considering the exclusivity of the brands. Unison caters for both the male and female markets with a unique approach that combines street culture with creative style. I would recommend getting down to the store and seeing what is on offer.
