Sitting across from the markets at my fave eating place in Manly — Pure Wholefoods — we spied with our little eyes a market full of stalls and happy people. With sugarfree, gluten free, vegan muffins in hand, we strolled on over. There’s about a gazillion stalls in here selling new and second hand goods. I picked up a swanky Panama hat, someone else picked up a swimming cossie that was a rad brand for an equally rad price. There’s all the usual stalls you’d expect to see at a north shore market and then some others that intrigue you because they’re not so common but all are brill. Other things I saw: — food — dancing people — dogs — playground — people laying — sandy feet

Hey Glebe Markets, I’VEBEENCHEATINGONYOU. I’m sorry you had to find out this way. It started out as a weekend affair, a salty little dalliance north of the bridge. What is it about her that lured me in? You really want to know? It’s not going to lessen the pain, you know. Fine. Just, y’know, don’t say I didn’t warn you. Here’s why I like her: Loads of market stalls both good & not so good(crucial to have both for authenticity) + Cheap prices(read: no inflated-values to lure in cash-up hipsters) + Crazy astroturf playground area thingy that serves no discernible purpose but is still cool + Refreshing salt spray winging in off the beach + Ramshackle suburban feel + Amazing book stall selling loads of classics for, like, a few bucks a piece. There. I’m sorry. It’s better this way. Trust me.
